My self-summary
[Update: as a heads up, I'm currently in two awesome polyamorous relationships. If that's not your thing, and you're not looking for new friends (yay, friends!) I may not be your best bet. Good hunting!]

Life is a funny thing. One moment, you figure you've got a pretty solid idea as to what your life is going to look like for the next 60 years. The color and the shape are fairly solid, you think: the rest is just details. And then you take a step forward and discover it was all an illusion--a pitfall hidden beneath an expensive rug, if you will--and then it's a long, long fall before you find out just how far the hole really goes.

And then you do it again. Because life is a funny thing, and callback jokes are damn fine comedy.

Which is okay, if you're willing to laugh at yourself.

Fortunately, I like laughing at myself--it's good TV. I also like driving fast, even if I wear a seatbelt. I like drinking cheap beer and expensive scotch. I like falling asleep while spooning and being woken up for early-morning sex. I like finding things in common with strangers I meet at bars and parties. I like getting lost in the desert. I like learning ridiculous new things, like painting figurines, or making my own cologne, or infusing alcohol, or shaving with a straight razor. I like raucously partying and quietly pondering on my own in the small hours of the morning.

Ultimately, I like gulping down life as fast as I can for as long as I can. I'd like to meet people who are like me.

Are you?
What I’m doing with my life
Tearing off more of it than I can chew, and trying not to choke on it. Life is too short, too easy to miss, to wait for things to line up, so I try to keep it full with little things, with new things, with things I love. The end of everyone's story is the same--it's the memories I make along the way that are important to me, that keep life from slipping through my fingers.

Which means I'm pretty damn busy playing with my life.
I’m really good at
Saying yes. Filling my calendar. Kissing (I have references ;) ). Drinking. Parties. Surviving in the desert. Making terrible choices that end up turning out all right.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm not sure, but it'd probably be my eyes. Or my ever-lengthening hair.

Who knows? I'm me, not people.

I'm also told that I smell nice. You may need to find out for yourself, though. You know. To be sure. For Science.

I'll eat most any sort of ethnic food, although I have a hard time with octopus sashimi. It disagrees with my stomach, even if it is tasty.
The six things I could never do without
Terrible questions that imply I'm not self-sufficient.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Perception. Nihilism. Freedom. My loved ones. Sex. Oh god, sex. Friday night. Saturday night. Non-euclidean political ideas. Absurdity. Love. Career things. Work things. Calendar conundrums. Food. Probability and Information Theory. Cryptography.
On a typical Friday night I am
Camping. Partying. Dancing. Dealing with business things. Out with a date. In with myself.

Do interesting people really have typical Friday nights? I am dubious.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Um. I'm honestly not that private of a person, and so I can't think of anything "private" to say about myself...

Here's something not so much private as just... odd. I have spent the night sleeping under a log in the forest on more than one occasion.
You should message me if
You smiled at something I wrote, or wonder if I'm really that weird, or think I'm cute/hot/sexy/whatever, or just think I sound like fun.

Truth be told, I AM fun, so give it a shot. I only bite if you ask me to :).
