My self-summary
The first thing you'll probably notice about me is my smile. I'm funny. As in - I make people laugh, not funny as in peculiar. At least, that's the hope...

If I were writing to you - then the first thing you'd probably notice would be how nice my grammar is - which is unfortunate (since no-one ever seems to appreciate this!).

I have a lot of interests - from art, architecture, history, music, reading, travel through to being passionate about baseball, and watching movies and TV. I also listen to a lot of NPR. I like being intellectually stimulated - but also appreciate down time and simply relaxing.

I'm looking for someone to share my interests with, and share someone else's. Really - I'm looking to share my life with someone who's passionate about life, intelligent, funny and honest.
What I’m doing with my life
I did a PhD in neuroscience after my undergrad - both in the UK (Oxford and Cambridge). I took a year out to travel the world (well, the ex-Soviet part of it), joined a young start-up company which I ended up moving to the US to head up. After growing the company to 75 people here in Cambridge, I left to pursue a career in architecture.
I’m really good at
Trivia, feeding my pet cats (they're still alive), not feeding my pet plants (they're all dead), cooking fish, riding a bike, finding coffee shops, traveling, taking a long time to decide over menus, dyeing my hair grey...
The first things people usually notice about me
My accent. I grew up in the UK. (I'm now a US citizenship - but really don't sound like one!)

On a typical Friday night I am
Not sure I have a typical Friday night...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm deathly afraid of spiders. If they're long, and thin and look like snakes, that's ok - but otherwise not so much. To be clear - I will not be able to clear baths or showers of arachnid intruders.
You should message me if
I've sent you a nice message.

You're emotionally available.
