My self-summary
I was born and raised in New York City, went to Rhode Island for a hippy college experience and have been back since. I'm about to move to LA for the next year, having matched there for internship. Super excited about the change of scenery! I'm approaching my last year in a clinical psychology Ph.D. program. I love what I do, because I get to help people while learning new things every day. That sounds corny, but wonk wonk. I am generally laid back, but I know how to focus intensely and work hard to obtain the things I want in life. I love awkward situations, probably because I rarely feel awkward myself. I love animals and have two of them. Sometimes my dog wears rain boots.

My friends mean the world to me, and I am fiercely loyal to them. Same with family. I view family as a more expansive term that includes, but is not limited to blood relations.

I love adventures and trying new things. I can have fun anywhere and doing anything or nothing. I make friends with everyone and anyone. I'm artistic and like craft projects. I am sharp-witted and I sing in the shower. I love people and their eccentricities, everything that makes them unique. I will never be too old to play. I use my imagination actively. You'll find it hard to shock me, but I'm all for someone who is up to the challenge.

You should message me if
If you are confident, witty, and most importantly, kind. If you are someone who would do the Sunday crossword puzzle in bed with me, even if we could only fill in half of it (if you brought me coffee in bed you would be my hero!). If you are silly, smart and adventurous. Finally, if you are unique and always speak your mind, because I assure you that I will do the same! And if anything in my profile resonated with you, but you happen not to like crossword puzzles or (gasp) coffee, I'd still be pleased to hear from you!

If you think you can show me a magical aspect of LA, I'm interested! I'm looking for new friends to go on adventures with. If you can teach me to surf, that's awesome. I'll teach you how to throw pottery on a wheel in return! If you have a dog, you're golden. If you want to take weekend trips along the coast, browse flea and farmers' markets, snorkel in Catalina, drive along Route 1 in a covertible, visit Joshua Tree, escape to Santa Barbara or just enjoy good old fashioned company walking barefoot in the surf shoot me a line. Even if you're just into hikes, bikes and bonfires on the beach...I dig all that too! This is going to be a year of saying YES!
