My self-summary
Not like, cool, but definitely not NOT cool. I keep thinking more tattoos will help.

I'm in an open relationship. You don't have to date my girlfriend, but you should be cool with the fact that she exists. Ideally I'd like to find something a little more than casual. We'd go on dates, talk about space or ghosts or whatever, we'd find an ice cream truck and lay in the park or just do hoodrat shit or whatever else we conjure up that day.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to walk the fine line between sardonic and charming.

Plastering the walls of my apartment with guitars and posters of outer space.

If I see a bird with an interesting personality, I'll give it a gender-neutral name and then we'll hang out until it decides to fly away.

I used to be an aspiring artist, but now I'm just an artist with a day job. Still aspiring, but more practically. When I get home, I hang out with my cats or write music. Sometimes both. For a while I was getting commissioned for it (writing music, not hanging out with my cats [oh to dream]), but now I just focus on writing stuff I actually like, and haphazardly looking for a good band to play drums for.

Now that the weather is nice, looking for the best benches to read books on. My current favs are in McCarren Park and by that fountain in Stuytown.
I’m really good at
Bad puns, but sometimes good puns, guitar and keyboard stuff (yes, I'll change your strings...), keeping up with pen pals, parentheticals, emotional transparency, well-timed and tasteful (I think) cat emojis, double entendre, double booking myself, having uncomfortable conversations, finding meaning, losing my keys.
The first things people usually notice about me
I talk like I text, wear a lot of pastel and muted colors, and have big, stupid green eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Sufjan Stevens, My Bloody Valentine, M83, Elliott Smith, Emily Haines, Land of Talk, Owen, Converge, Kierkegaard, Miranda July, Hemingway, TS Eliot, Synecdoche, NY; Vanilla Sky, Lars and the Real Girl, 28 Days Later, Fern Gully, sushi, a good cuban sandwich, apple cider, frozen Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
Six things I could never do without
Excellent water pressure
Self-expression
Cats
Coffee
Cotton Sheets
Sunlight
I spend a lot of time thinking about
how people i care about feel about stuff, how i feel about stuff too, the whole Berenstein Bears thing, non-traditional relationships, chord progressions, how to make weird music sound good, how to best stave off spells of existential dread oh god
On a typical Friday night I am
Stumbling off the Bedford L, wishing I was somewhere where I could see the stars.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
The night after I lost my virginity, I won a Magic: the Gathering tournament.

I own a pair of Uggs.
You should message me if
You're enamored by the idea that our bodies are chemical cocktails comprised of the same molecules that cause stars to explode, so it isn't a wonder to you that our passion for life and everything around us could be any less volatile, and all the more beautiful or something.

You own a pair of heart shaped sunglasses or tend to talk to bodega cats.

Guys: I'm 97% here for babes, but if you're like mega hot and we like the same stuff, i don't know, maybe?
