My self-summary
Me, myself and I. There, that about does it!
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a registered nurse who has defected to natural and wholistic health consulting. I also do home schooling and private tutoring. Making music is very important to me. I have sung in several small bands over the years as well as in a choir. I am a classicly trained pianist and play piano for my own enjoyment. I love playing music with other musicians. I also do freelance writing on health related and various other topics as well as some editing. Presently working on a book or two, if only in my mind.
I’m really good at
looking at least ten years younger than my given age and acting a great deal younger than that, things that involve communication, making friends, making music, staying in the moment, staying positive in spite of challenges, learning from experience...
The first things people usually notice about me
That would probably be my smile. Perfect strangers often smile back at me. People comment about my blue eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: "The Spontaneous healing of Belief" by Gregg Braden, "The Source Field Investigations " by David Wilcock, "Oneness, the teachings" by Rasha, " I Ching", "Eat, Pray, Love", Movies: Too many to list as I'm a bit of a movie addict. No horror, please. I don't watch much TV...enjoy all kinds of music (no rap), all kinds of veg. foods (nothing fast or GMO).
Six things I could never do without
1. My kitty: I recently lost Jerry, a black and white domestic short hair cat who had been a wonderful companion for almost ten years. After some grieving, I adopted Donny, a new little kitty from the animal shelter. He's adorable!
2. The freedom to be totally myself at all times. Sometimes I don't have much of a "filter". I seem to need to tell it like I see it, without revision, but I am able to listen to what others have to say, as well.
3. The ability to get out in nature and hug some trees.
4. To enjoy the comedy of life and be able to laugh at things, as well as myself.
5. My hunger for knowledge.
6. Creativity of all forms whether it be with music, writing, photography or just in the kitchen trying new dishes.
7. Being on a spiritual path.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
...the fact that I am rather unconventional and find that I am probably unlike most when it comes to my healthy lifestyle and attitude about what I believe is really going on in this world. For at least the last 30 years I have done a lot of research regarding things that are well below the radar. I'm an information sponge in that regard and this has changed my perception of the world in which we live.
On a typical Friday night I am
There is no such thing as a typical Friday night...what day is it, anyway?
You should message me if
you're not put off by my chronological age (I could have lied about that), if you see yourself as outside the box, if you were given the choice between the blue pill or the red pill (from the movie "The Matrix") you would most likely choose the red pill, if you're not a fanatic hiker, if you are health conscious, or at least have a desire to be, and have at least a basic knowledge of metaphysics. So is this all too much? Oh well, it isn't all written in stone.
