My self-summary
I'm the kind of person who never knows what to say until I get going and then you can't shut me up. I sing when I'm in the car, or bored at work. I listen to my ipod and walk to the rhythm of whatever I'm listening to. I cry at sad endings, and love stories that have happy, if not perfect endings.

I am an unapologetic nerd, but I have long come to realize that this doesn't mean I need to live in a cave so I try to keep my blinds open and my area clean.

I firmly believe that there is someone out there for everyone with whom a relationship would work with zero effort. I also believe that the odds are very low of you ever even running into that person let alone becoming involved with them, so you'd damn well better be prepared to work for a relationship worth having.

I love the theater. I have seen Lion King twice, Phantom of the Opera twice (once here on tour and once in Vegas), Stomp four times (three here, once in Vegas), as well as many other shows. I make it a point to make it to at least one show during every season, even if I have no one else who wants to go.

I am generic, geeky, and good humored
What I’m doing with my life
I just moved to Tallahassee for a new job doing tech work for a McDonald's franchise owner.

I have left nearly everyone I know back in Palm Harbor, so currently I am trying to rebuild my social circle so that I'm not stuck at home watching Hulu and Netflix ALL the time (but I'll still be doing some of that).

I'm currently pretty content with my life where it's at and am ready to bring someone in to share it with me. In short, I'm looking for someone to ruin everything, in the nicest way.
I’m really good at
Picking up new things. I am naturally good at many things I try and strive to become the best I can in things that I like.
The first things people usually notice about me
I prefer to think this is a non-physical attribute and unfortunately it might be that I'm a bit sarcastic a lot of the time. The next would probably be that most of my sarcasm is in good humor.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - The Sword of Truth series, Goodkind; A Song of Fire and Ice saga, Martin; Ender's Game, Scott Card; Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Austen/Grahame-Smith; I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell, Max; The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Adams; To Kill a Mockingbird, Lee,

Movies - Wall Street, Fight Club, Thank You for Smoking, A Few Good Men, Burn After Reading, Starship Troopers, American Beauty, Lion King, Star Wars (Original Trilogy), Demolition Man.
I'm also a sucker for disaster movies (Day After Tomorrow, 2012, Armageddon, etc.) to the point where I even enjoy the made for TV SyFy disaster movies, but those I usually just enjoy because of how BAD they are.

Music - I enjoy a wide range of music and have the library to back up the statement. If I listened to all my music straight through, non-stop, I could go over a week without hearing a repeat song. I was also really big into the local ska scene back in Clearwater, enough so that one of the (in my opinion) best local ska bands in the area, Victims of Circumstance, gave me the privilege of getting on stage and singing a song with them.

Food - I love American cuisine. Burgers, fries, ribs, steaks. If it moos or is bad for you, I probably enjoy it.

There's stuff missing from each section here because I like A LOT of things.
The six things I could never do without
I'm reinterpreting this to read as "The six things I would be highly uncomfortable/unhappy without." Otherwise it would be boring things like food, water, shelter, oxygen, etc.
1 - Teh interwebs!
2 - My sense of humor
3 - My computer
4 - Intellectual conversation
5 - ???
6 - Profit
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I can do with my life that will make a difference for at least one person.

Also whether or not Canada is real or just a scary government story mothers tell their children to make them behave.
On a typical Friday night I am
I don't really know what a "typical" Friday night is for me right now. My schedule is allegedly gravitating towards a more Monday-Friday 9-5 type deal, so possibly in a few months I'll have an answer for this.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't have any super dark secrets that I think I need to keep hidden. I'm pretty much an open book. Want to know something? Ask.
You should message me if
I seem like the kinda person you can talk to. Or if you can cope with someone who rubs 90% of the people he meets the wrong way for about the first week he knows them.

Really, "if you want to" is about the best thing to say.
