My self-summary
I have a curious mind and love engaging in conversations where I learn new things and find out what others are most passionate about in their lives. I particularly enjoy discussing anything involving science, nature, space, psychology, technology, food and cooking, liberal politics, current events, and favorite movies and TV shows. That’s a long list, I know, but it just speaks to the fact that I’m curious and love to talk about most EVERYTHING!

I’m looking for someone who isn’t afraid to speak her mind, is independent, sassy, funny, and someone who knows that the key to moving dreams into the reality stage is rolling up her sleeves and applying plenty of action. She’s also someone who runs from mind games and drama as much as I do. She realizes life is much more meaningful when she puts an emphasis on honesty, loyalty, trust, and shared dreams.

The lady I’d love to meet is content spending time at home, but also open to a wide range of pastimes—everything from outdoor adventures to exploring museums to listening to live music to hanging out at a BBQ with friends.

I’m a great listener, easy-going, and understand the importance of being a great kisser. ;) I spent 5 years working in fine dining restaurants, so I’m an excellent cook. I also have a knack for balancing the needs and desires of others with my own and accepting other people’s points of view. I almost never get into conflict and can find a diplomatic solution to just about any problem.

Let’s pick a restaurant new to both of us and make plans to meet there. Who knows?
What I’m doing with my life
I serve as lead video and animation editor for a small digital marketing start-up. It’s a big change for me because I spent five years working in fine dining after going to culinary school. Cooking remains one of my great passions.
I’m really good at
Making friends with your dog
Maintaining that crucial work/life balance
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my name, Gib.

I tend to get a lot of nicknames, my friends and coworkers often call me Gibbers, Gibraltar, Gibberton, Gibberly, Gibbinator, Big Gib, or, most recently, The Notorious GIB. Also Gibber McCheese... I could keep going...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I’m currently reading “Psychology of Everyday Things.” It’s about the cognitive science behind how we interact with everyday objects from door handles to phones and web pages. Before that I read George RR Martin’s Game of Thrones books.
The six things I could never do without
Cold brew
Pandora Radio
Living in a city by the sea
New art projects
Friends / Squad
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why there are upwards-facing icicles on the ice cubes in my ice cube trays. I can't figure it out! I have a few theories. Don't tell me and kill the mystery though.
On a typical Friday night I am
Keeping it low key, getting ready for a Saturday beach day, some new adventure, or just chilling.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
When I was little, my parents called me Piggin Gibonski Hansonoffski. :/
You should message me if
You want to have some genuine connection. I enjoy strong willed women who know what they want in life and are in pursuit of their dreams. I’m open and look forward to chatting with you.
