My self-summary
I'm just a man always trying to understand, while also finding some humor in this world. I'm up for a good time no matter what, unless there's country or scream-o music playing in the background. I'm in the process of switching things up in life which is always a good thing. I may be shy at times, but that doesn't mean you should be as well. Throw a shout out at me :)
What I’m doing with my life
As of now, I am substitute teaching and working in retail, as well as usually dreaming about where I would like to buy a one-way plane ticket to...
I’m really good at
... I'm full of surprises!
The first things people usually notice about me
I have to figure it's my red hair, but if you notice something different then you should feel obligated to tell me!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books/Authors: Daniel Quinn's "Ishmael" is about the only book I can say changed my life.

Movies: The Great Gatsby, American Beauty, The Dark Knight and TDK Rises, Inception, Talladega Nights, Anchor Man, Zoolander, American History X, Pixar Films, Django Unchained, Gone Girl, and other movies that at least make you have to think and really listen to understand and appreciate them.

Shows: South Park, The Walking Dead, AMHS, ESPN, Sports (except Baseball :P), The Daily Show, Kitchen Nightmares/Hell's Kitchen, and the occasional randoms.

Music: Counting Crows, Drake, Kanye West, Coldplay, classic bands from the 70's and 80's, as well as more.

Food: The fresher, the better. I enjoy quite a bit and am still looking for new tastes to add to the ol' pallet.
The six things I could never do without
1. NPR Radio
2. A/C in the Summer
3. Nature walks
4. Learning new things
5. Exercise/Sports
6. The hope that one day Dave Chappelle will have his own show again
I spend a lot of time thinking about
...the why's and how's of everything I run across in daily life and in the news.
...how socially awkward today's technology-glued teenagers are
...why does Fox News still count as news
...why the Golden Rule seems to be fading in society and politics
...why I'm not backpacking through Europe right now
On a typical Friday night I am
Pouring a drink, either solo or with company, and playing Blackbird on the ol' guitar
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
...I have an online-dating profile...
You should message me if
If...I'm your cup of tea I suppose. I'm an open-minded guy. Having fun shouldn't be tough :)
