My self-summary
I'm the quintessential bookworm. I love all things literary--writing and reading, languages and etymology, fiction and nonfiction... all of these hold special places in my heart. Since I discovered Calibre and FanFicFare, I've been downloading fanfic by the thousands. Sure, most of it's junk, but there are some marvelous epics out there, too.

Scifi and fantasy are my favorite genres to write, read, and watch, and I have many of the staples on my shelves. I also have a large collection of music (particularly film scores) and am a classically-trained singer.

I work a lot, so I'm not available at the drop of a hat. Plans have to be made to fit around other plans, so it can get interesting.
What I’m doing with my life
I dabble in several of the arts--I do some singing, some writing, some graphic design, and some photography.
I’m really good at
* singing (I have a few solos under my belt).
* writing short stories.
* being a book detective--people come to me first when the only thing they remember about a book is a small detail.
The first things people usually notice about me
my waist-length hair, though sometimes I get comments on my smile.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Instead of books, I'll go with authors:
* Brandon Sanderson
* Orson Scott Card
* J. R. R. Tolkien
* Weis and Hickman (Dragonlance)
* C. J. Cherryh (Chanur series)
* Mercedes Lackey (Valdemar series)
(and more. Lots, lots more.)

* Star Trek (original series)
* Babylon 5
* Stargate (SG1 and Atlantis)
* Firefly
* BBC's Sherlock
* Farscape
* Andromeda (seasons 1-2)

* Sleeping Beauty (Disney)
* Galaxy Quest
* Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992 movie)
* Willow
* It Happened One Night
* The Princess Bride
Six things I could never do without
* My library (including my computer)
* Good company
* Sleep
* My voice
* My eyesight
* My limbs
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the current state of the world and all its problems. Or the current state of the world in the book I'm reading, and its associated problems. Whichever one I'm in the mood for, really.
On a typical Friday night I am
hanging out with my friends watching movies or anime.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I loathe Twilight. Also Fifty Shades of Grey. (Yes, I realize that's not very private. If you want any more out of me, message me.)
You should message me if
you can hold your own in a detailed conversation about books, movies, anime, or the world around you. More than one in the aforementioned list would be preferred. Musical talent (particularly as a pianist or singer) is a plus.
