My self-summary
Travel Junkie, avid skier, eternal optimist, and foodie. I just got out of the navy, and am pretty happy to be starting the next chapter of my life. The past year I spent living in Japan and that was pretty spectacular. Between the food, the amount of stuff that can be reached within 2 hours and the culture, I was more or less like this every day....

As for personality, I'm a pretty pegged out extrovert and need to be active doing something. I'm actually quite like a golden retriever. I'm an ENFP. I also believe that those 4 letters are much more than a silly personality test and are quite useful.

I identify with and get along best with people who are down to earth, straightforward and honest.
What I’m doing with my life
Gambling on myself that I can start a completely new career, and rock it out too. We'll see how it goes, starting January.
I’m really good at
flying planes, cooking, eating, running, and viewing life with a sense of humor.

People always seem to be pretty happy when they work with me, so I'd say I'm good at making things easier and more's why I'm trying my hand at consulting,
The first things people usually notice about me
i'm probably smiling
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite books: Shantaram, Pillars of the Earth, Prince of Tides, Atlas Shrugged, Moby Dick, Brothers Karamazov, Catch-22, The Source, Slaughthouse Five, Life of Pi, Blink, and of course (along with 400 million other enthusiasts) Harry Potter.

Favorite shows: How I Met your Mother, Family Guy, Game of Thrones, Daily Show, Modern Family.

Food: If i had to pick 1 cuisine to eat for the rest of my life, it would be japanese food. I could eat at sushi restaurants, ramen shops, izakayas, shabu shabu joints, and yakiniku and kaiseki restaurants (traditional food) forever.

I wish I was Anthony Bourdain. But when it comes to food, if you can name it, i've probably tried it. Though I don't like Durian fruit (it smells like foot, tastes like it smells, lasts for a long time, and is the perfect storm of awful), Balut, anchovies, or tourist trap restaurants. Other than that, bring it on!
Six things I could never do without
My passport
running shoes
A Japanese dictionary/google

My life. I'm introspective and self-aware, and I always try to learn from the world around me.
