My self-summary
I am poly and I am looking for interesting people to meet with, chat with or explore with.

Really I am looking to date someone. Male or female it doesn't matter. I want to explore love in its many facets. I want someone I can talk to, someone I can talk with and someone who likes to give was well as receive pleasure.

I'm a geek and pro geek, nerd or dork, so long as you are a nice person. I tend to find that geeks have a similar sense of humor to me and similar interests, but that does not mean I'm ONLY into geeks.

Anyways, I read a lot, play with my kids and love to hang out with friends. I think I am all the stereotypical things that people mention also (good natured, fun-loving, kind, open) but that just doesn't say much about me.

Oddities are the most important things in life. Normalcy is frightening. I love kink, and weirdness and experimentation.

I recently realized that while everyone I know thinks of me as talkative and open, I am SUPER shy. I hate making first moves and rejection freaks me out big time, but I think that's a common problem, hence the dating site.
What I’m doing with my life
Have a BA in theatre which I'm not using and I work for the state.

Life to me is also about the people I surround myself with. I have good friends and they are just as important as my life goals.
I’m really good at
Reading. Hmm...I'm quite a good writer, although I generally just write academically. Fiction is not a strong suit, but I have written some kick ass poetry before.

I'm also awesome at talking, and I'm getting pretty good at listening. I love to argue, discuss and ask why.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm not sure. I have trouble being that metacognitive. I guess it might be that I'm nice, at least the majority of the time. I like to joke with gas station clerks, and try and cheer up the poor depressed masses of menial workers. I've been there, I know how much it sucks, they deserve a good smile more than anyone else.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Recently I have been on a romance kick (Vaginal Fantasy a la Felicia Day). But I read pretty much anything, here are some of my favorite books.

Harry Potter
Poisonwood Bible
August Frost
Kushiel's Dart
Black Jewels Trilogy
Hunger Games
Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy
The Hobbit

As for movies I don't watch a ton of them, of the ones I do I tend to have a depressing selection of intense movies like:

Crash, Requiem for a Dream, Pi, Fight Club.

For the more lighthearted I like a lot of books turned movies like:

LOTR, Harry Potter and the Hunger Games.

I am also a geek for action flicks, sometimes you just need to watch things explode - with examples such as:

XXX, Fast and the Furious (all of them), Red, that one movie with all the hit men in one hotel where they all kill each other.

Last but not least (with movies) I love the quirky films like:

Igby Goes Down, Donnie Darko, Lucky Number Slevin and the like.

Music is something I love, but I can never pin down a genre, for example here are my top 5 bands in no particular order
1. Korn
2. The Beatles
3. Hanson
4. BTS (my current obsession, they're part of the k-pop genre)
5. Three Days Grace

For food I am currently on an adventure, trying new things as often as I can and experimenting with flavors. I find I like some curries, and Asian food is amazing.
Six things I could never do without

That said
1. Air
2. Water
3. Love
4. Friends
5. Fire
6. Breezes

Also as flip as air and water may seem I do actually mean them. I love breezy days - they are one of my favorite things ever - and I like romping around in the rain or swimming immensely.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The moment, and what I can do to make future moments better. I like to daydream about an ideal world, post-apoc, with gardens pervading all. When jolted to real world musings I often think about how sad and wrong our world is, quite the opposites eh?
On a typical Friday night I am
Siting at home watching Dr Who, having friends over for dinner or curling up with a good book. I enjoy going out, but it is not something I do often.

My favorite is cooking good food (or more realistically baking sweet treats) with friends and talking about everything until we go hoarse.

Some good old rock band never goes awry as well.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm not normal, and while I'm a proponent for the freaks and odd ones, I feel ever so slightly horrified that I am a part of the non-typical. That said, I more thoroughly LOVE being thought of as the weirdo.
You should message me if
You are curious, geeky or something you read made you want to start an argument. I love some good old respectful discourse.

You want to date and have fun.
