My self-summary
The best way to describe me is the shopaholic who goes crazy in both the shoe store and the hardware store. I feel more comfortable in Home Depot, than Joann Fabrics (and no matter what anyone tells me, I do not consider a sewing machine, a power tool). I love to laugh and have learned not to take myself too seriously. I am brutally honest. I find that it is better to tell the truth upfront instead of having to remember whatever little white lie (or big purple one) you told before. This outlook sometimes leads to bruised egos and hurt feelings, but I find that true friends are the ones that tell you the truth. I am working on softening this edge though. Like most other people, I am a work in progress!

I love to try new things. I am assertive, but I value debate. A normal night for me of late is a good burger with friends. I have found that it is better for me to be there to take them home instead of being dragged out of my bed at 4:00 AM by a call from a bouncer (seriously) to pick their drunk behinds up. As annoying as it can be, it is a responsibility that I don't mind embracing.

I love to sing and dance. And have started to finally love working out again. I am not an outdoorsy kind of gal. I was raised in Brooklyn, the woods scare me, though the few times I have gone hiking, I have enjoyed it.

I am tall, assertive, and funny
What I’m doing with my life
I am Graduate Fellow at the Securities Arbitration Clinic. I spend my time helping people who may have been defrauded by their brokers.
I’m really good at
cooking. I have a fairly stressful job and cooking helps to relax me. I also sing well, but usually only hold performances in the car and the shower.
The first things people usually notice about me
is my hair. I have the "Rogue" streak. The front of my hair is streaked with gray (or platinum as I like to call it). It is all natural and most people are astounded by it. I have no intentions to dye it anytime soon, but it does make people question my age.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite book is "A Light in the Attic", by Shel Silverstein. Yes, it is a children's poetry book, but you can't abandon the classics. In my grownup library, I really love Shakespeare, especially "King Lear". I also have a thing for comedy. I recently read Tucker Maxx's, "I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell", and laughed until my tummy ached.

My favorite movies are "The Count of Monte Cristo", "Shawshank Redemption", "Pretty Woman", and more recent "Iron Man", "300" and "Star TreK" (2009). Also went to see The Blind Side and loved it!

I can honestly say that I like all kinds of music. The Top 25 Most Played Playlist on my iPod includes Rob Thomas, Jay-Z, the Dixie Chicks, The Fray, 3 Doors Down, Lil Wayne, Nickelback, Tracy Chapman, Baby Bash, Flo Rida, Bon Jovi, The Police, The Pussycat Dolls, and Lionel Richie.
Six things I could never do without
1. My Family
2. My Friends
3. A V6 Engine in my car (though I recently test drove the 4-Cylinder
VW CC and that thing had some giddyup)
3. My electronics (iPod, Blackberry, power tools)
5. Gas Cooktop Stove
6. My DVR
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What my next step in life will be. I have accomplished so much and now I am at something of a crossroads in my career. What is the next job, the next city, the next step?
On a typical Friday night I am
Of late, on the road, driving somewhere. But I would prefer to be at home catching up on the things I DVRed during the week or at a bar or club dancing the night away.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am so afraid of roaches/waterbugs that I once ran out of the locker room of my highschool pool naked!
You should message me if
you are looking for a smart, funny woman to share your time with and are as allergic to drama as I am.
