My self-summary
I'm a slightly ridiculous sometimes self conscious soul working on making awkward graceful. I am gravitationally challenged. In general I tend towards the ridiculous. I am passionate about passion, creativity, building cool shit, growing food, rethinking societal models, appropriate technology, and that magical thing that happens when humans apply themselves together.
What I’m doing with my life
Living fully and learning always. What else is there to do?
For me this entails interacting with multitudes of people in various different ways, gathering skills, enjoying nature, making art, and learning new ways of being receptive.
At the moment, I am in India, on a kabaddi sponsered flight that led to further wanderings.
I’m really good at
Making pies. That shit is flaky delicious. Mmmm, my favorite is strawberry rhubarb ginger. I'm really good at three dimensional tetris, ie, packing. I can fit more dust covered couches, bicycles, tutus and tents into a uhaul than seems safe or reasonable. Oh, I also kick ass at Jenga, and an obscure northern Indian wrestling sport called Kabudi.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm not quite sure being surely stuck in my own perspective. But I have been told that my general enthusiasm makes an impression on people.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Shantaram; Demian; All the Rain Promises and More; The Quantum Brain; Calvin & Hobbes; Oh the Places You'll Go; Operating Manuel for Spaceship Earth; Brave New World; Howl; Dharma Bums; 2312...
Forest Gump; The Big Lebowski; True Grit; (really most Cohen Brothers) Snatch; Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle; Edward Scissorhands; Pulp Fiction; pretty much all Tarantino actually.

I like music in all sorts of flavors. Everything from '90's hip hop to Bluegrass to psytrance to folk to classical Indian, to dubstep... I've been really into jazz lately, diggin big brass new orleans Jellyroll Mortin sorta vibes.

Food is probably the thing I immerse myself in more than anything. I love gardening, cooking, and of course eating. Favorite cuisine: SUSHI
The six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Consciousness and brains. Burning man art ideas. What sort of food to make. Sex. Sustainable systems. Serendipity. How to train my brain to be on better loops. Different cultures or places and how I can get there. What ways I can contribute to the world. How ridiculous people are.
On a typical Friday night I am
Alas I lead a life where there is seldom a 'typical' anything. Perhaps this will change as I settle into my more domesticated lifestyle. This last Friday I was at Arts Arcata. I mosied about, ate some cheese, drank some wine, saw some incredible work featuring the female nude (my fave) and interstates. I loved how the curves of the onramps seemed to echo the feminine curves. The highlight of the night was in front of a beautiful transient accordion player as two people juggled under someone blowing bubbles and another two twirled and danced. Marvelous, really. Bubbles, accordion, juggling, and beautiful transients are all on my list of favorite things.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I watched the first two seasons of the vampire diaries.
