My self-summary
I'm currently building a tiny house on wheels and blogging about my journey. You could call me an independent woman I suppose, lol.

I like craft beer and camping - one at a time is fine but they're better together. I like coming up with new and craftsy things to do because I don't like spending money and I don't need a guy to spend money on me either. I'm quite artsy-fartsy but I also like watching stupid TV shows and sitting on my porch drinking wine and laughing at the insanity that is life.

I'm sarcastic.

I would rather have an intelligent conversation with my cats than be trapped in a ridiculously stupid conversation with someone who has no opinion, or worse, a strong opinion based on incorrect information.

I do not take myself seriously most of the time. That does NOT mean that you shouldn't however.
What I’m doing with my life
Working two jobs and saving money to build a tiny house! I work at a nonprofit and I also sling java. Yes, I'm seriously building one.
I’m really good at
Being hilarious. Seriously. I'm hilarious. And sexy.

Did I mention I'm hilarious?

On a serious note, I am very self-aware, which I think is rare these days with all the distractions of life. I find myself watching too much TV and hiding from life, instead of going out there and enjoying it. I'd rather go into the woods for a week with no running water and explore than hide in my house and have the TV on. I'm really good at building campfires, too.

I'm really good at dreaming.
The first things people usually notice about me
My crazy hair. My crazy life. 😁
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
"Sometimes, you read a book and it fills you with this weird evangelical zeal, and you become convinced that the shattered world will never be put back together unless and until all living humans read the book."

Here's the thing about books and music and TV and movies and me - my favorites are always changing. For now...

Books: The Fault in Our Stars, anything by a Bronte or Jane Austen (especially Wuthering Heights), every Harry Potter book because I'm amazing, any play by Shakespeare (though I realize this is not, in fact, a "book"), Prozac Nation, and Illusions.

Movies: Too many to list, though Boondock Saints is always a favorite. I love horror movies and I've even started watching (some) alone.

TV Shows: Survivor, Law and Order: SVU, Once Upon A Time

Music: I like all music except some rap, but I tend to listen to music like Something Corporate, Mae, Say Anything, or a capella. I can also get into country music, especially during the summer.

Food: I eat my steak medium rare and my burgers medium well. Deal with it.
The six things I could never do without
1.) A notebook & a pen
2.) Chapstick
3.) A really soft blanket
4.) My Samsung Galaxy & headphones (& access to Spotify)
5.) My family and best friends
6.) [The rest is still unwritten]
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life. In general and under a microscope. I write poetry so it's kinda part of who I am.

Myself. But not in a "I'm awesome" kinda way. More of an introspective "what else am I here for" kinda way.

The future. Because where I want to go and where I seem to be headed do not seem to match right now. I'm figuring out in which direction I truly want to go.
On a typical Friday night I am
Working at Starbucks or working on my Tiny House. Every once in a while I'm actually out with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have this weird thing about guys' hands... I think guys' hands should be sort of rough, complete with callouses. If your hands are smaller or softer than mine, I will immediately distrust you. Weird, right?!?
You should message me if
You love fun, aren't a creeper, and don't like drama.

If you're super uptight you probably shouldn't bother, because sometimes I make a fool of myself which requires a bit of understanding and patience.

You should also probably not bother if you don't take the time to proofread or use punctuation. I will not respond. One missed apostrophe won't automatically disqualify you, but it will certainly make me think twice about replying.

Also, please do not expect me to be all "fun fun fun" all the time. I recently updated this profile because, although I am hilarious AND sarcastic AND fun, I sometimes have very thoughtful days. I am not a light person. I am a writer, a thinker, and a doer, and all of those things sometimes require deep thought. If you are looking for a shallow girl, just run away right now. That would be best for both of us.
