My self-summary
I'm just a critter intrigued by other critters. Not really intrigued by critters into oppressing other critters. Really intrigued by critters open, inclusive, and inviting to new experiences. Really really intrigued by critters interested in collective liberation, anti oppression, and having fun doing it!

I also have a very loud and very sincere laugh.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to build a healthy, vibrant, diverse, inclusive community of friends and neighbors capable of doing cool shit to make a better planet.
I ride bikes a lot and I dream often.
I’m really good at
Knowing/loving Lexington and Kentucky. I absolutely love this place and love showing it off to new folks. I believe it's a precious place, and its worth protecting and improving.

Listening. I'm really fascinated by folks in general, and I love a good story! Tell me one sometime...

Trying new things!

Imagining cool things and then making them happen. If i want to have a local hiphop show featuring conscious MC's, i'm going to do it. If i want to have my own trivia night, I'm going to do it. Really interested in folks down to make the cool things they see in their heads happen out here with the rest of us.

Riding bikes! Absolutely one of my favorite things to do.
The first things people usually notice about me
Beard. Bike. Buns. Beer. Bros.
Also, pretty committed to anti-oppression. Really really not into racist, transphobes, homophobes, sexists, etc. If you're into oppressing folks for their identity, i'm probably not into you.

If you're into building a better and brighter future, that sounds AWESOME.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I absolutely love hip hop. I try to book a few shows locally when i can.

I also like a lot of old timey, country, bluegrass-y stuff. Generally, I identify pretty strongly with music about struggle.

Finally, i love to dance and sing karaoke from Reba to notorious big to the temptations.
Six things I could never do without
I finally figured out I'm just going to answer this question as if capitalism had collapsed and i had to bounce into the wilderness to survive and bring a new world into being.

1. A good maul to split wood
2. Bike
3. One really long, really great book I could read a bunch like the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy Compendium. I love Douglas Adams and I imagine the world will be pretty damn absurd if this is where I find myself. I'll be delightfully distracted by whales falling from the sky.
4. Seeds
5. Flint
6. A strong and loving community committed to me and me to them.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
how to make the world better. I'm really into community organizing, and building resilient social structures because I feel like a lot of our how society is organized aims to atomize us and isolate us. I'm into togetherness, community, and moving forward. I don't really dig capitalism that much, and would like to find a better way to do things. I'm not throwing trashcans into starbucks windows but I really like bartering.
On a typical Friday night I am
looking for someplace to dance, sing, and otherwise celebrate with my friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I once, accidentally, went home with a racist.
I'm waiting to be in a meaningful, committed relationship to watch deep space 9.
