My self-summary
Pretty much lived all up and down the eastern seaboard from VA to CT and back, though most of my time has been spent in the NY metro. Yes, Kansas City is a change, but I really like it here.
I'm a bit of a creative - I'm happiest when I'm surrounded by art - and very curious by nature. I love to explore and go on adventures, including but not limited to boating of any kind (kayaking, canoeing, yachting whatever) and camping. I love to cook and try new restaurants, plus all kinds of random geeky pursuits that will totally entertain you.
I don’t feel the need to rule the world, just explore it. The list of places I want to see before I die grows weekly. I wish I had the cojones to drop everything and backpack for a couple years, but I haven't been able to make that happen yet. Maybe next year (she says every year)
I love history, I’m especially drawn to pre-Columbian American history and pre-war Europe. I like to envision my life as a cross between Casablanca and Indiana Jones – adventurous yet glamorous… yea, I have an active imagination.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a freelance social media marketing/advertising guru for small businesses and searching for my next adventure. I also do some freelance blog writing and random other things to make a buck :)
I’m really good at
A fake french accent - fabulous for pretending to be a tourist wherever I go (except France...or Canada), making people smile, giving advice, accessing my deep well of random trivia, I seem to be the goto for all my friends with relationship issues, french toast, hiding my imense geekiness...Also? Tetris. I frikkin kick ass. Seriously.
The first things people usually notice about me
Girls seem to like my hair, I get a lot of lips/smile compliments, got "nice cheeks" once (in reference to my face...I think), Im also pretty short ...

And I must give off a "nice" vibe since strangers start conversations with me almost every time I leave the house (I secretly really like it :) )
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Mostly crap. Stephen King, Dean Koontz stuff. I try to class it up with a little Chuck Palahniuk, Dashell Hammet or HG Wells, but it always goes back to the throw away paperback. I have been getting into archeology/anthropology based thrillers lately...but there's not a ton to choose from so I'm almost out.

Movies: Chocolate, Princess Bride, Labrynth, Kill Bill, Fight Club, Serendipity, Half Baked, Death to Smoochy, Willy Wonka (the first one, though I am partial to Tim Burton), John Waters oeuvre, classics like Funny Face and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes...

TV Shows: Criminal Minds, Bones, House, Angel, PBS, Psych, Parks & Rec, Doctor Who, and my ultimate guilty pleasure Supernatural. No reality TV though, it's all just too stupid for me.

Music: Frank Sinatra, Nirvana, Jill Scott, John Legend, Alicia Keyes, Soundgarden, The Who, Peggy Lee, Eric Clapton, Oasis, Beck, Mos Def... Im pretty eclectic.

Food...Im an equal opportunity muncher. comfort food, exotic meats (mmm gator!), high brow foodie combos, ethnic food...Just started eating seafood about a year ago, so I still have a lot to explore there :)
The six things I could never do without
Cozy bed
A furry friend
Non-furry friends
Good Food
My hour a day at the gym (It's a newish habit, and Im quickly becoming addicted to the endorphin rush)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to settle into a leisurely life of travel, preparations for the coming zombpocalypse...
On a typical Friday night I am
Ha! "Typical"!

The internet. Lets not lie to ourselves.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I cant ride a bike. Never learned. Pity me.
You should message me if
You need a little adventure in your life, but aren't against a night on the couch. Must appreciate ethnic food.

LADIES: Yes, I'm bisexual, but I'm heteroromantic (or at least I have been so far, never say never), so if you're looking for an awesome new friend who might want to make out with you once in a while...hit me up :)

I'm a socially progressive culturally Jewish agnostic, with all that entails, so if you regularly vote republican, take your faith SUPER seriously, or consider yourself an Ayn Rand devotee, we probably won't get along :)
