My self-summary
Rather than writing a description let me share some quotes from my friends.

"I admire how positive and cheerful you always are around other people." - CB

"…your tenacity and perseverance have always been your strength and the most admirable qualities in you. You are a great mentor and a very kind person." - KR

"Your ability to persevere is leaps and bounds above anyone I know…it’s made you observably successful in everything I’ve seen you do" - CL

Yes, I do collect nice things people say about me and save them for a rainy day. If I'm feeling down I go read them. Also I lied and wrote a bit of a self summary.

My father was in the Navy so I grew up everywhere but I've been in Atlanta since high school and I consider myself an Atlanta native. I am in love with the city and I love living here.

Most of the time you will find me dabbling in a lot of different things and I usually have some side project that I'm tinkering with or some new thing to research.
What I’m doing with my life
Working at a job I enjoy as a software engineer, hiking stone mountain on weekends and anything that involves sunshine.

For more than a year, I've been focused on getting healthier and developing good habits, so I've been taking a lot of fitness classes, including karate, kettlebell, TRX. I never turn down an opportunity to do some other activity, for example Aerial Dance, Soccer, etc.

Recently I have been insanely active (as evidenced from the list above) so I focus a lot of energy into that.

I own a condo in the virginia highlands area so I also spend a lot of time going to local festivals, concerts, bars and just enjoying my neighborhood.
I’m really good at
Thinking way too much about things.
Giving good advice (not necessarily taking it).
Standing up for friends.
Reflecting on life (also using parentheticals).
The first things people usually notice about me
A random person I met once told me that "I would never have guessed you're a're such a good conversationalist".

Should I feel complimented or insulted by that statement?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Past me was a big sci-fi / fantasy book nerd but I am mostly out of that phase now. Have not read a lot recently, my last reads were The Hunger Games and Blink.

Not much in the way of TV but I do catch The Daily Show, Colbert Report and South Park regularly. Recently been watching Game of Thrones.

Music is a constant companion in my life and I never pass up the chance to see live music. At most times I have music playing in my house, my car etc. Here is a sample:
Less Than Jake, Smashing Pumpkins, Mindless Self Indulgence, Local H, Gorillaz, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Grandaddy, Metric, Foster the People, Cage the Elephant, Grouplove, Manchester Orchestra, Tegan and Sara, Offspring, Modest Mouse, Lumineers, Fun, Kevin Devine, The Wombats, Social Distortion and many many more.

Six things I could never do without
An up to date playlist
The support of my awesome friends
Some activity to sweat over
A challenging side project
The advice of my family
Someone challenging my preconceptions
I spend a lot of time thinking about
If I spent a couple more years training in martial arts could I be a ninja?

If I stick with Aerial silk class could I join the circus? Also is this an absurd goal?

Why is learning the guitar so hard?

Why does my facial hair stop growing at the bottom of my neck (and 5000 other wikipedia infused queries)
On a typical Friday night I am
Catching a beer with some friends from work, hitting the improv comedy club, singing my heart at karaoke or maybe just chilling at home with a movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I sing in the shower every day (and I think I'm getting pretty good).
You should message me if
You have a good sense of humor, you are serious about dating and you like the hat I'm wearing in my profile pic.
