My self-summary
Oh right I should say something about myself.

Hi, my name is Greg.

Overall I am very much a nerd at heart. I've been a gamer since I was a kid and love getting wrapped in the alternate universes that they provide to explore and be immersed in. I work in IT as well which only further fuels said nerdness. I tend to be a fairly laid back person who can be intense when the situation calls for it. But normally I don't sweat the small stuff. I like to be flexible but also have things planned out.

I'm up for chatting about anything from the latest tech, to debating theology, to completely dumb stuff. That said, I love any sort of NASA/space related news. Anything that will end up as good conversation. Just don't ask me about sports, I don't know a thing about them.

I enjoy trap and target shooting and like to go out to the range when I can. It's a nice catharsis as long as it's enjoyed responsibility.
What I’m doing with my life
I work in a data center as an enterprise level Systems Support Engineer. I help make sure businesses have continuous email more or less. It's actually much more exciting than it sounds. Many stories of late night emergency calls and irate customers abound.

I have an Associates in Information Technology and would like to go back and earn my Bachelor's and possibly Master's someday.
I’m really good at
People tend to share things about themselves they normally wouldn't with others. It runs in my family. We can have a conversation with someone and by the end of it they've told us their life story.
The first things people usually notice about me
My good looking beard and my voice. Everyone says I should have gone into VO work instead of IT.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
TV: Archer, Mystery Science Theater 3000, Family Guy, Monty Python, Futurama, Modern Marvels, Mythbusters, How It's Made, Pawn Stars, American Restoration, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Breaking Bad

Movies: LoTR, Matrix, Blade Runner, Aliens, any of the recent Marvel films, Clue, Monty Python, Redline, Ghost in the Shell, any Mel Brooks films, any of the Miyazaki films. Along with several others I'm forgetting to list here.

Music: I listen mostly to Trance/House, video game music, Synthwave, and classical/jazz every once and awhile. I generally don't listen to a song because it's by a certain artist, but because it resonates with me or I can come up with a cool scenario to go with it. I'm tend to be bad when it comes to bands and artist names.

Gaming: I do both video games like Mass Effect, Skies of Arcadia, Fallout, Zelda, etc and tabletop games such as Magic the Gathering, Exploding Kittens, and Cards Against Humanity.
Six things I could never do without
1) Internet connection
2) My computer
3) Awesome friends
4) A sense of humor
5) Comfortable furniture
6) Good music to jam out at work with
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I love to think about how science and technology will effect our lives in the future. Breakthroughs in materials research, discovering a key biological function, space exploration, etc.

On the other not so serious hand, plotting what game or show I will play/watch next after I'm done with what I'm currently involved in.
On a typical Friday night I am
I'm typically at home gaming/watching a movie/anime or out with a few close friends having a drink or two. Nothing too exciting. I tend to be a bit of a homebody.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have double jointed thumbs!

My username comes from my friend's daughter. Ask me about it!

Anything else and you'll have to get to know me more.
