My self-summary
Here's the skinny on me. . . I have a different idea of recreation than most. I like projects. Standing at a bar exchanging small talk bores me to tears. I love playing sports, but I don't like watching them. I like listening to music, but I enjoy playing music more. I still believe I can accomplish anything, just not everything. I prefer to make mistakes and try again over planning ahead. I have a sense of humor that ranges from sarcastic to majorly sarcastic. I like kids. I'm smart enough to know how little I know. I'm a liberal. I almost always disagree with conventional wisdom. I like being outdoors. I like the buzz I get from exercising till I'm exhausted. I still look up to my big sister. I'm complicated enough that there is no possible way you will 'get' me after a single meeting. I'm the most outgoing introvert you will ever meet. This means I'm comfortable and confident talking with pretty much anyone. I just prefer working on my projects. Oh, and a friend thought I should mention my fondness for algorithms. They are pretty fun.

I'd like to find a complementary female who has transcended beyond the need for social status. Someone who is highly motivated towards personal growth. Someone with energy and enthusiasm and passion. Someone who can see beauty in everything and criticize it all at the same time. Or maybe just someone cute and fun that wants to hang out now and then.
What I’m doing with my life
Work, of course. Plenty of work. I run a lot. I have a daughter who is with me half-time. I always have some new project in the works. I drink. And I date now and then.
I’m really good at
Getting things done. And solving problems.
The first things people usually notice about me
Not much. Probably that I'm in serious need of a haircut. I typically come across as nice and normal at first. You have to get to know me before the true freak shows his face.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm pretty well read, but read much less now than I used to. I prefer writing over reading these days. I love movies in general. Cohen Bros, Wes Anderson, Monty Python, all those mock-u-mentaries. . . especially Best in Show, and The Godfather (of course). I like music played by really good musicians. I could care less about the genre.
Six things I could never do without
A challenge
A friend
My kid
A new thing to learn
Being outdoors
And my dog
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Oh, F$@#! I have a problem slowing my brain down. I don't even know how to begin answering this question.
On a typical Friday night I am
. . . not out on the town. I don't really like the party scene. I'm probably in my garage working on some project. Or making bead necklaces with the kid if it's my weekend. Or maybe on a nighttime bike ride downtown wondering at the behavior of normal people. Or completely drunk watching a B-rated kung fu movie on Netflix.
The two of us
