My self-summary
I'm in a rapidly evolving period of my life right now and I'm enjoying the ride thoroughly, no matter how big the challenge(s) I'm facing, the right tools always seem to be there at my disposal. I'm in a very positive place as a result of the obstacles I have overcome.

I consider myself a "renaissance man" with music (drumming and lead vocals), philosophy, tarot, numerology, and poetry as my main artistic endeavors.

I play Ultimate frisbee at least once a week, ideally twice. It is a really competitive yet good-spirited culture, and gives you a great workout, especially if you play with reckless abandon (yes I do :)

Six months ago I left my job as an outside sales director for a dental franchise in the South Bay to be a recruiter/driver/consultant for Uber. I'm excited about working for Uber because I believe it makes the roads safer (such as less drinking and driving and less cars on the road overall) and the nature of the rapidly expanding rideshare market. I was recently granted the flexibility to create and implement my own recruitment and training program for Uber that I'm in the process of ramping up.
What I’m doing with my life
In the last 5+ years because of the work I have been doing (see above, plus outside sales/lead generation in the solar industry, and before that campaigning and fundraising for an environmental justice non-profit) I have become a much more outgoing person, as I used to be shy in many instances except with my close friends. Since my job often involves initiating conversations with complete strangers I can now easily start a conversation with almost anyone now, though certain settings (like at a loud bar) may not be my strong suit. I am extroverted when I need to be as well as content (actually need) time alone, especially to support my creative endeavors. So to summarize... honing my skills in sales to take advantage of a rapidly expanding market and continually evolving as an artist and individual on my own unique path.
I’m really good at
Overcoming problems by trusting my analytical and intuitive abilities, as well as helping my close friends who appreciate my unique and honest perspective. I've always had the analytical side active but recently my intuition has become much better, though like everyone I have "blind spots" I have to work on.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I'm comfortable in my own skin and I'm my own person most of the time. I wasn't always like that, it took years of hard work to get to that place.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
LOTR books and movies, Donnie Darko, Blade Runner, Apocalypse Now, Alien, anything Stanley Kubrick, Battlestar Galactica, Firefly, Carnivale (worst pre-empt ever), The Sopranos, House of Cards, Mad Men, currently I'm hooked on Fringe (J.J. Abrams other extended tv series that no one seems to have any fucking clue about and is much better than LOST), anything Aleister Crowley (the most misunderstood man of the 20th century), Dale Pendell (the Pharmacoepia series), Wallace Stevens, Pablo Neruda, Sharon Olds, my sister's poetry (she is an up-and-coming poet in NYC), Tool, Rush, Yes, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Radiohead, Aphex Twin, Portishead, Dream Theater, Dead Can Dance, Indian food at the top of the food chain but many other cuisines are delectable to me as well :)
The six things I could never do without
My hands (for drums and Ultimate and massages)
My wits
My enthusiasm (think of the Greek word ethos)
My originality (don't mean to be arrogant, but all artists would like to think that they have something new to contribute to their genre(s)
My weekly or if I have the time bi-weekly Ultimate frisbee game
Trusting myself above anyone else (but thank you friends and sister for when I need the support).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Physics, Tarot cards, underlying principles of the universe, musical ideas, weather phenomenon, the possiblity of non-being, the permeatation of numbers in all of physical reality, the nature of Spirit and how everything is connected (ex. The Jeweled Net of Indra).
On a typical Friday night I am
Getting off work and seeing what my friends are up to. Sometimes driving up to SF, sometimes staying in the South Bay.
Maybe going to the gym though that is more likely on other days.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm not a flesh-eating zombie... but that doesn't mean you're not delicious ;)
You should message me if
You're into looking at and improving the positive things about your life and are good at overcoming rather than dwelling on negativity. You know how to enjoy yourself and others and are open to warming up to someone quickly if the right chemistry is there. Some people say that I come off looking a little conservative in my photos (I have to project a professional appearance being in sales), but nothing is further from the truth, both politically and idealistically.
