My self-summary
I love salt lake, podcasts, dogs, coffee, harry potter, music, cooking, liberty park, people, reading, photography, writing, and the oxford comma.
What I’m doing with my life
I work at the U, and I attend the U for grad school in Public Administration.

I go to a lot of live shows: concerts at the state room, the symphony, theater, performances during gallery stroll, etc. I love to be out and about in town or up in the mountains. I enjoy adventuring, road trips, movies, and Saturday afternoon naps.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh, including (and sometimes almost exclusively) myself.
The first things people usually notice about me
My hair, my eyes, or my smile. My hair...has a personality of its own.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: all the books!

Movies: from documentaries on Netflix to whatever is in theatres, I'm all over the map!

Shows: All the shows!

Music: Anything. Everything. The Avett Brothers, Sharon Van Etten, Raphael Saddiq, Regina Spektor, Beirut, Mates of State, Wilco, The Barr Brothers, the Fruit Bats, The Lumineers, Gregory Alan Isakov, Father John Misty, Honeyhoney, Laura Marling, Johnny Flynn, Glen Hansard (solo, the Frames, and the swell season), Thao & the Get Down Stay Down, The Shins, Elliott Smith, Grey Reverend, Otis Redding, Bob Dylan, Heartless Bastards, Givers, Neko Case, Ha Ha Tonka, Feist, Alabama Shakes, Brahms, Bartók, Etta James, the Tallest Man on Earth, Tennis, Tchaikovsky, the Civil Wars, The Oh Hello's, Portugal. the Man, Arcade Fire (the early years), Moss, Little Green Cars, the Beatles, the Band, Sarah Jaffe...

You get the idea.

Food: street tacos. Always street tacos.
The six things I could never do without
music, my dogs, my family, my friends, good chocolate and good books.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
So many strange things.
On a typical Friday night I am
Between work and grad school, my time isn't entirely my own these days. I'm trying to make sure I still do some activities I like--so usually cooking with friends, gallery stroll, or seeing a film at the Broadway.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Yikes...I don't like mashed potatoes. True story.

I'm also weirdly competitive when it comes to Mario Kart.
You should message me if
You're looking for a friend, someone to chat with, someone to go on a date with...etc. I love to: go into the mountains, go to southern utah, go on walks around liberty park, go to museums, see movies (love the broadway!), try new restaurants and toss a frisbee around. I mean it when I say I'm looking for friends!

I find it's easiest to approach these things like meeting a new friend. Helps take some of the pressure off. Even if we don't hit it off romantically, we could meet up, have coffee, and swap war stories. Cheers!
