My self-summary
Originally from just outside NYC, I lived abroad teaching English in Japan after finishing my undergraduate at Cornell University. Decided to throw out my TV and headed for architecture school to pursue my masters. After 5 years of Boston winters I decided it was time to abandon the snow shovel and move to a warmer climate. Must have an adventurous spirt, like the spontaneous over the planned and believe that in the end it will all be fun or one memorable experience.

I try to be outside more than inside. I will watch the game on Sunday, but only if I have spent the same amount of time in the sun on the previous day. I do a lot of bicycling. Road cycling at this time, but hopefully getting into more mountain biking. Love the water but still have not conquered surfing.

I have been described as sarcastic, clever, sly, witty, sharp, zen and shy. I really do not know how shy got in there, must have been an off day. Will give anyone a run for their money in chinese checkers and political debates. Believe that is it better to regret what you did then what you did not do and really think a good cup of coffee can make any bad day better.
What I’m doing with my life
I am architect and a reformed East coaster.
When I am not working my day job I am working my night job for my own office. Trying to shift the balance from working for others to only working for myself.
I’m really good at
Being awesome!!!
The first things people usually notice about me
Actually as cliche as this is, it is my eyes, and then my east coast accent. I really don't think I have and new york accent but my pronunciation of cawffee, foor, and drawa, seen to have others thinking differently. Oh I almost forgot about "whata"
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
In one day I ca go from listening to the Grateful Dead, to Dylan, to Miles Davis, to Iron Maiden. Music gets me through the day. I try to start and end the day on a positive note (no pun intended). I have been to the opera, I enjoy chamber music and am always open to get to Harvells in Santa Monica.

I am on a quest for the perfect burger in Los Angeles. I am taking suggestions. I also enjoy Thai food a great deal, but am truly open to any kind of food. Except maybe for Ethiopian, I don't like to eat with my hands unless I am at a baseball game.

I don't watch a great deal of Television. I spend a lot of time reading. I also try to work myself to exhaustion. I tend to read random things. Now I am reading the autobiography of Henry Ford. See random. I am also great at skimming magazines. I cannot resist Star magazine when I am in the check out line. It helps put things in perspective.
Six things I could never do without
1. Architecture
2. Naps
3. Intelligent conversation
4. Sarcasm
5. John Coltrane vs. Heavy Metal (on any given day I will listen to either and likely both)
6. Bass guitar (I am a musician, in a band, just a hobby unless Rush calls and needs an opening band)
7. Cappuccino
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Just exactly how I got here (not just OKC).

Why I am not Volunteering more. I need to give back.
On a typical Friday night I am
Enjoying a good dinner and decompressing from the week. More importantly I believe Sunday mornings are for the New York Times, and sunday nights are great for going out to dinner. Always end on a high note. Plus it makes going into work Monday morning so much easier.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My name isn't Jack ;)
Due to netflix I have started to relive my childhood through bad television. I am in a big "Murder She Wrote" phase. That Jessica Fletcher she is AMAZING!
