My self-summary
I spend most of my time exploring and being active. I love riding bikes, tasty microbrews and fancy cocktails, being in the mountains, doing fun things with good people and spontaneous adventures.
What I’m doing with my life
I cycle almost everywhere and enjoy walking, hiking, yoga, running, skipping, jumping, flailing, and rolling as well. I would spend all day, every day outdoors if I lived in a more appropriate locale (which I could, so this is a poor excuse). I wear sandals every day I can get away with it. I drink a lot of herbal teas and eat a lot of vegetables.

I am addicted to exploring new places and roaming about. I've spent a great deal of time in the last few years exploring the world by van, bicycle, foot, plane, train and boat and I will continue doing so as often as I can manage!

These days my biggest hobby is cycling (local and touring) but I also enjoy documenting my adventures with photography, hiking, backpacking, tasting whiskey, making fancy cocktails and learning to sew.
I’m really good at
Riding a bicycle, building websites and wiggling my ears
The first things people usually notice about me
My cheeks get red when it's cold out or I'm drinking alcohol. I'll thank the Irish for that one.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I've enjoyed a few of Murakami's novels recently and just finished the delectable beast that is Shantaram. Now I'm reading Ghostwritten (as of the last time I edited this box) and I'm into it.

The Big Lebowski, Lost in Translation, O Brother Where Art Thou, Castle in the Sky, The Blues Brothers

My favorite of a few years is bossa nova which has transformed into more jaws including favorites of the likes of Stan Getz, Paul Desmond, Bill Evans, Dave Brubeck and also a great deal of jazzy soul and funk like Curtis mayfield. My all time favorites include The Beatles, Air, Broken Social Scene, Belle & Sebastian, The Notwist, Radiohead, Bibio, Manu Chao, M83, Bjork, Animal Collective, Steely Dan, Talking Heads, Phoenix, Stan Getz & João Gilberto's album Getz/Gilberto, everything Antonio Carlos Jobim wrote.

Ah, food. Mmm. Every kind of vegetable and lots of them. Beans, mushrooms, olives, beans, lentils, kale, chard, broccoli, steel cut oats, raisins, bananas, spinach, bananas, apples, peaches, nectarines, apricots, zucchini, hummus, gyros, burritos, indian curries, thai noodles and curries, vermicelli, dark chocolate, carrot salad, rooibos tea, peppermint tea, cashews. Styles I most often eat are Thai, Indian and Mexican.
The six things I could never do without
Bicycle, sunglasses, headphones, water bottle, a snack (or six) and my trusty spork (my daily necessities)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where I want to travel next and what to spend my time working on
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably out riding bikes and drinking beverages in parks.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I spent a year and a half living in a camper van (and it was awesome)
You should message me if
You want to go do something fun and think we'd get along. Say hello!
