My self-summary
The first time I talk to someone, I tend to be a bit nervous. Thankfully, I warm up to people quickly. I’m a carefree/laidback person, but I can be serious when it's necessary. I’m remarkably self- motivated; once I have decided to do something, I always follow through. My outlook on the future is positive, and I'm happy with my life overall; however, my positive outlook on life doesn’t blind me to current social issues. I consider myself to be an active member of the community; I volunteer, vote, and partake in political discourse. I love to learn and to participate in new experiences. I enjoy intellectually stimulating conversations, as long as the parties involved are respectful and that there aren't any ad hominem attacks. I’m an empathetic, nonjudgmental listener. I have a plethora of academic interest ranging from the sciences to the humanities. My goal in life is to become a polymath like Leonardo da Vinci.
What I’m doing with my life
I ‘m currently attending a community college in order to obtain an associate degree; also, I work at the college as a math tutor. In the fall of 2013, I plan to transfer to a four year university and pursue a degree in engineering. I have friends and family that I see regularly. I have plenty of hobbies to keep me busy. For example, I exercise regularly, and I recently started playing the guitar.
I’m really good at
I’m good at a lot of things. What I’m the most good at are computers, math, science, reading, and debating. Three areas I’m the worst in are art, music, and foreign languages; I plan to conquer these subjects even if it takes a lifetime.
The first things people usually notice about me
People say I have an intense look. Some even say that I scared them before they got to personally know me. I swear I’m a nice person!

I spend a lot of time thinking about
My future, social and political issues, and other people.
On a typical Friday night I am
On some Fridays, I create a new and inventive board or card game with a friend. Sometimes, I will play guitar by myself or with another group of people. Other times, I will just go out by myself; Solitude, every once in a while, is a necessity for personal growth.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
When I was younger, I used to weigh around 350 pounds. I have lost over 100 pounds, and I’m still losing weight through diet and exercise.
You should message me if
You would like to know more about me, or if you have liked what you have read so far. Even if you aren’t interested in dating, I’m sure we both would thoroughly enjoy having a discussion with each other.
