My self-summary
I am simple and low maintenance. But I am focused on what's important in life. I like small crowds and intimate conversation. I don't like small talk; I like big talk. I have a happy life. I love my family and friends, and I love my job. I try to live my life being grateful everyday, and making a small difference in the world.

My 2013 Resolutions:
1. Be aware of my inner voice (you know the one that won't shut up)
2. Pray for my perceived enemies.. For their happiness directly impacts my well being
3. Write in my gratitude journal at least 3 things everyday
4. Perform random acts of kindness
5. Meditate (this is the hardest!)

I'm teaching my students about resolutions and how important it is to self reflect. It's a lot of fun sharing with them.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a teacher. It's tough but I love it. Knowing that I can positively impact students' lives is very rewarding. On weekends I like to unwind and lounge around with loved ones.
I’m really good at
Cooking. Cracking jokes. Singing. Drawing. Making up dance aerobic moves on the fly. Solving problems. Last minute decision making. Being a good friend.
The first things people usually notice about me
My friendly face and tan skin.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My compatibility with a man might best be measured by how aligned we are spiritually and philosophically. I think books is a good measure. With that said my favorite authors are:

Eckart Tolle, Deepak Chopra, Marianne Williamson, Wayne Dyer, Michael Singer

TV: Bravo reality, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Homeland, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report
Music: r&b, soul, hip hop
Food: my mama's cooking! Lao, Vietnamese, Filipino, Mexican, Japanese. I love food!
The six things I could never do without
shallow: sunblock, coffee, my handbag, aviators, lipgloss, karaoke

deep: friendships, life lessons, awareness, nature, love, gratitude
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I'm trying not to! It's one of my resolutions. Meditate more, think less. Be more, think less. The more you think the more you steal from the present moment.. And there's nothing more important than the present.
On a typical Friday night I am
At home reading or watching a movie, or out with girlfriends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
tattoos: I would never get one myself, but I think they're sexy on guys
You should message me if
If you think we are aligned. See my sections on New Years resolutions and books.
