My self-summary
Hey I'm originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, now I stay in Edinburgh since I graduated some years ago.

I don't go out on that many dates, I don't really know how other people end up meeting each other but I've never been very good at it. So hence the internet.

Did Chemistry at uni and now work in financial services, basicly I do lots and lots of excel, which I actually strangely enjoy.

In general I am an average sort of bloke who is probably a wee bit too geeky for his own good. People have called me weird before.

All in all I am looking for a cool girl, with a sense of humor who is ok with a guy is probably a bit weird.
What I’m doing with my life
I work, unfortunately. Been working in the same place for a few years now and its ok. Ideally I'd be doing something else but I'm not entirely convinced that I'd actually enjoy anything else (that I can think of) more that what I do right now.
I think I'd like to write or do something else creative that involves people paying me for not actually doing anything useful. That would be cool. Unfortunately my lack of talent is a severe limitation but that doesn't stop a lot of other people.
I’m really good at
Making and drinking tea. And building wee things in excel.
The first things people usually notice about me
Well I kinda pride myself on my t-shirt collection, band t-shirts and lots of threadless and such, so I would hope its how cool the t-shirt I am wearing is and therefore how cool I am by proxy. However its probably more likely to be the fact that my nose is squint.
Or if I am with my Bro that I am a twin.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music: Well you can look at my last fm profile here:
And the kind of bands I like are:
Black Flag, Garbage, Foo Fighters, Muse, Therapy, Pitchshifter, The Distillers, The Ramones, Led Zepplin, REM, Ministry, Nirvana, Pixies, The Misfits, Rancid, The Buzzcocks, Interpol, Radiohead, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Soundgarden, Aphex Twin. That sort of stuff. Mostly listen to punky/metally stuff these days as I generally listen to music on my commute and need to get pumped up but I like all sorts and if i need to decompress ill put on some classical or a film score.

Movies: Shawshank Redemption, Die Hard(s), Alien(s), Solaris, A Scanner Darkly, Goodfellas, The Rules of Attraction, High Fidelity, Inception, Dr Strangelove, Thank You for Smoking, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Wall-E, Heat, Blade Runner, Cloud Atlas. Although these days generally anything with aliens and/or shooting and explosions is probably going to get a thumbs up from me vs anything more serious which I would probably need to be in the right mood to watch. On a related note if you haven't seen Lockout from Luc Bessons company Europa, you should, not sure if it was straight to DVD but its a sort of B movie Sci-fi with Guy Pearce playing a Snake Plissken/John Mclane style character and Rudy from the misfits is in there too. Surprisingly good escapism.

TV: BSG, Dexter, Fringe, The West Wing, Firefly, True Blood, The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, 30 Rock, Supernatural, The Big Bang Theory

Books: I am also on good reads so you can see my profile there http://www.goodreads.com/henryjfry and the kind of books I like are: Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency by Douglas Adams, The Culture Books by Iain Banks, The Stars My Destination by Alfred Bester (which if you haven't read it you should begin reading immediately, if not sooner), World War Z by Max Brooks, Terry Prattchetts Discworld (I'd have to hand in my Geek Licence if Discworld wasn't on the list), Robert Rankin, Raymond Chandler, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke, The Counte Of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas (which is just brilliant), American Gods by Neil Gaiman, Anathem by Neal Stephenson (or most of his other books too but especially Cryptonomicon and Snow Crash), Neuromancer by William Gibson (or just the whole Sprawl trilogy), Forever War by Joe Haldeman, Peter F Hamiltion - Commonwealth Saga, Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, 1984 by George Orwell, I am Legend by Richard Mattheson, Altered Carbon by Richard K. Morgan and loads others. I really like scifi and especially cyberpunk or space opera.
Six things I could never do without
The internet, Tea, Sandwiches, Mp3 Player, Sleep, Oxygen
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The impending Zombie apocalypse and how I plan to survive it. (Bloody myans, never get anything right.)
On a typical Friday night I am
Out having a few pints or back in the flat getting beasted and watching crap on the telly.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't know what I want and I don't know how to get it.
You should message me if
You are a riot grrrl.

You really want to and you live in scotland, i'm unlikely to respond to random people from foreign climes but if you are local I'll probably message back. Unless its only a one liner in which case I might not...
