My self-summary
I'm southern but not conservative, career-driven but love being outdoors, and a homebody who is never home.
What I’m doing with my life
Working, traveling for work (a lot), grilling, learning to row (on fours and eights in the Harlem River), throwing parties on my rooftop, visiting family in VA and OR, gardening, eating as much good food as my body can stand, letting go of judgements while maintaining sarcasm, walking to work, biking to errands.

I guess I should also say here that work is a cornerstone of my life. I do business strategy to help companies start new businesses, and I have found a balance between making money and doing things that are good for the world (both are of extreme importance to me). Right now I am leading a business accelerator that supports businesses with products and services that benefit girls in East Africa. Before that, it was developing a rapid diagnostic for infectious diseases in India. Before that, it was new digital products for an Italian publisher. Not every project is about saving the world, but every project teaches me something and brings something new to the world. I say all of that about work because work impacts my life in a couple important ways: 1- it challenges me intellectually, which I cannot live without (and being challenged is something I want from a relationship); 2- it feeds a travel habit, which means I am often not home. Currently my most oft destinations are SF, London, East Africa (Kenya Uganda Rwanda), Virginia, and sometimes PDX. January will bring travel to Pakistan Bangladesh and Nepal.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
The next fifty years this earth will see. The environment is something I think about a lot, mostly because I like my life and I'm concerned that our collective choices will impact my day-to-day living seriously in ten years or so. That said, I'm not an activist. I just try to limit what I buy, limit what I use, limit what I waste.

You're crazy smart, you seek out great food but don't post it on Instagram, good sex is a priority you're not willing to settle on, you're driven, and you think having a woman at your side who also craves all that is an asset.
