My self-summary
*Off to Alaska for a few months

TL;DR - I'm Mark. I'm great.

'We think too much... and feel too little.'

I wanna do something like this -

Grew up in Houston, school in Seattle, now to the Bay

Here's a few labels one might put on me -
- extroverted introvert
- outdoorsman
- sub-par musician (but improving)
- easy-going/relaxed
- thespian
- Texan
- always up to go out
- always down to stay in
- budding chef
- amateur photographer
- sarcastically inclined
- reddit lurker
- genuine as fuck
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to create purpose out of nothingness.

I'm an actor by passion and profession - mostly stage.
(read: I do all sorts of jobs and act as much as possible)

I value hard work, engaging play, and people I can trust - intellect over image - depth over breadth - action over talk (but there's nothing quite like a good conversation)
I’m really good at
- Hand stands
- Breakfast foods
- Ping-pong ....or is it table-tennis?
- Being humble. Not very good at sarcasm.
The first things people usually notice about me
My new face tattoo. It's pretty rad - pictures incoming.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Unless you're really interested, just skip this section - we can talk to each other and find this stuff out, right?

Movies - Mad Max: Fury Road - Garden State - Blade Runner - Rear Window - Lost In Translation - Princess Bride - The Matrix - Braveheart - Before Sunrise - Like Crazy - Frozen - any Wes Anderson film - and Star Wars, always Star Wars

Music - Muse - The Black Keys - Grimes - Blind Pilot - Daft Punk - Lovedrug - O.A.R. - The Avett Brothers - Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Vampire Weekend - Modest Mouse - Armin van Buuren - Spoon - RAC
Also a big fan of jazz, classical music, and EDM

TV Shows - 30 Rock - Parks and Recreation - Arrested Development - Breaking Bad - Dexter - Game of Thrones - Firefly - Community - Home Movies - and of course, Gilmore Girls

Books - Vonnegut - Palahniuk - Whitman - Macbeth, King Lear and the other better Shakespeare plays, .I'll pass on the comedies
Crime and Punishment - A lot of non-fiction like biographies
Also Calvin and Hobbes - life lessons from a kid and his tiger

Food - I'm not picky at all when it comes to food - love it all and love trying something I've never had before. My favorites would have to be the simple comforts like a great steak or a good burger. Clearly not a vegetarian but I'm trying to eat healthier - less overall and more green things - fewer things I have to unwrap first.
The six things I could never do without
1. Family - what do I always say is the most important thing?
2. Good friends - old and new
3. Great music - to dance to, but also to relax to
4. Tasty food - no better time for all the above than with a good meal
5. Freedom of expression
6. I'll be a little materialistic for the last one - my Jeep

Things everyone should/could do without:
Black liquorice
Brussels sprouts
Reality TV
Car horns
Stubbed toes
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What other people are thinking about.
What I'm going to make next.
What I want to learn about next.
Why I don't just sell everything I own and start traveling

Should I get a smartphone? I feel like I'm the last person who doesn't have one - but I don't know if I'm ready to become a zombie just yet.
(edit: recently got one - my life is over)
On a typical Friday night I am
Fighting crime
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I think I already admitted it when I put Gilmore Girls as one of my favorite TV shows - reserve judgement until you've watched it is all I'm asking
You should message me if
- You must be shorter than me - or taller
- Speaking English is a plus, but not necessary
- Must have at least as many tattoos as I do
I just want to get out of my head and off this site.
But let's be real, you're not going to message first.
