My self-summary
oh let's see.
I'm happy, busy, artsy, curious.
I love to hike, canoe, ski, get out amongst the trees, sand, ocean.
I'm was born in LA, grew up in Connecticut and came back west 8 years ago. I love SF for her urban/nature combo and open minded sensibility, but I miss east coast black humor.
What I’m doing with my life
By day, I work in the arts at a university. By night, I'm a good friend, an excellent auntie, a general goofball. I'm trying to flex my own creative muscles a little more, and find myself being more actively curious about the world around me. So that means writing more, making experimental videos, rambling through new neighborhoods in the city, trying new foods, meeting new people.
Oh, and I've decided to go full California and train to be a yoga teacher. So there's that, too.
I’m really good at
making people feel welcome
maintaining friendships
thinking up fun things to do this weekend
The first things people usually notice about me
Green eyes and a quick smile.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Writers: Junot Diaz, Tea Obrecht, Rainier Maria Rilke, e.e.cummings, Pablo Neruda, Yusef Komunyakaa, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Favorite Movie: La Jetee

TV: Bloodline, Transparent, Catastrophe

Music: pretty omnivorous

Food: I'm a bit of an ice cream junkie.
The six things I could never do without
the light in my apartment
impromptu dance parties
living near water
family & friends
I spend a lot of time thinking about
my feelings about karl the fog. it's a love/hate thing.
the next creative project on my plate...
how to make more magic in the world
my next travel adventure - whether it's a weekend camping trip or an international jaunt
....although lately I'm trying to stop fussing about the future and just enjoy the right now.
On a typical Friday night I am
having a drink with friends,
seeing a comedy show,
out at a concert,
driving or flying somewhere new,
watching a movie and chilling out after a long week

doing things, or not doing things.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I think I'm the only person in history who has moved to California and -started- eating meat. I was a vegetarian for 14 years, but now there's no turning back.
