My self-summary
Laid back on most things in my life. More of a homebody, but I think my work hours contribute to that. Work weekends and evenings. But I like to travel when I can, visit family or friends. 200 miles driving is nothing to me now. Originally from Illinois, and have family in Europe too that I like to see whenever I can. Brother and cousins.
What I’m doing with my life
Mostly doing work, before I moved to ABQ from Roswell I was taking a few classes here and there to try and get another degree. But I've been too busy to think about that lately. Would like to upgrade my amateur radio license. Studying that on and off. Guess I'm a geek that way.
I’m really good at
Fixing stuff, making things work. Sort of involves a lot of what I do at work.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eye lashes? For some reason since a young age always got complements on them.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, (movie is fun too) recently read Too Big to Fail, & Whitopia, heard the author on radio recently.

Movies, off the top of my head, The Hudsucker Proxy, The Professional, The Big Lebowsk, Raising Arizona, seems I like Coen brothers movies. Big Fish, Pans Labryinth, Star Trek II, Amélie, been a long time since I've seen that, good documentaries, found The Fog of War fascinating, and the score was great for a doc. Kill Bill I & II, Pulp Fiction, 300, 2001 Space odyssey, A Beautiful Mind, Run Lola Run, I like to watch German movies sometimes to brush up.

Zombieland, Mystery Men, Bridesmaids, Lost in Translation, Office Space, 40 Year Old Virgin, Princess Bride, Inception, Matrix, Back to the Future, The Truman Show, V for Vendetta, Groundhog Day, AI, Lord of the Rings.

Shows, Top Gear BBC, Dr. Who both classic and new, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Family Guy, Dexter, Futurama, Colbert & Daily show when I can, Battlestar Galactica, Discovery Channel science stuff, Gordon Ramsay's kitchen nightmares, prefer the BBC version, its a little less over the top. Sometimes HGTV Holmes on Homes, oh my god this is the contractor you want.

On music, definitely Pink Floyd, Beatles, Styx, Air, Garbage, Cars, Depeche Mode, Sting, Flaming Lips, more recently Daft Punk, Tears for Fears, Erasure, Röyksopp, add more later.

On food, love pizza, wish I could find more German bread, or Brochen (german hard roll), so tasty. Used to be a lot more picky eater when I was young. Indian, Japanese, Greek, New Mexican sure, Italian, German, French. Not tried everything in these foods.
Six things I could never do without
Electricity, man I would be screwed if all power stopped. Everything at my job is dependent on electricity. My family, my health, my cat, an education, good conversation.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How things work. Love reading articles in Wikipedia. Connections between things and how it can go on endlessly.

What it is I'd like to do next. Trying to improve my health of late. Eat better, get more active. Been passive too long. I think I would like to try ice skating again. It always was fun.
On a typical Friday night I am
I work Friday nights. Mon, and Tues, are my days off, so Friday would be Sunday for me.. Update. 3/19 This will soon change to having Thurs. and Fridays off. Yey.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I tend to read the profiles from the bottom up.
I can be shy and quiet when first meeting people.
