My self-summary
I'm a CA native who is happiest outdoors, checking out a new trail, beach, river or adventure. I just completed my MBA from Berkeley and am traveling this summer before I re-enter the real world again as a brand manager at a consumer products
What I’m doing with my life
Travel! Europe, Asia, Alaska, and the American West. To be capped off with Mt. Whitney at the end of the summer. Feeling quite lucky and making the most of my remaining time off!
I’m really good at
cooking! It's one way I like to test myself and push my boundaries. Recently I cooked a southern feast complete with homemade fried chicken. I'm thinking homemade pasta is next on my list. The next dinner party menu is already coming together in my mind!

I'm also really good at laughing. And spraining my ankle.
The first things people usually notice about me
Insert trite line like "you'd have to ask them!"

But really, hopefully my smile!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite books include most of Steinbeck's novels (East of Eden is a must read!), Gone with the Wind, Cutting for Stone, My Own Country, and Lolita.

I've admittedly seen so few of the "good movies" and so many of the bad ones. Seeing more of the classics is on my list, but I love classics like Shawshank, and Forest Gump, and mindless pleasures like Mean Girls and When Harry Met Sally. I'm more into TV, and love HBO and AMC.

I'm a music chameleon and like most types, save for heavy metal and deep country. If you like bands that only 43 people have heard of, that's awesome, but I will not be one of those 43, until you share it!

Since I love cooking, it stands to reason I love good food. I like trying pretty much anything and everything and SF is a culinary delight that I love exploring! Some of my favorite places and tastes include State Bird Provisions, Monk's Kettle, Plow, Cheeseboard, Flour+Water, hole in the wall greasy Mexican, unpretentious sushi, and any place with good homemade pasta or bourbon cocktails.
Six things I could never do without
In no particular order (and not counting friends and family because that's hopefully a given!):

Constantly learning something new
A hiking trail that surprises me with new beauty
A passport
A new recipe I want to make and share with friends or family (got em in there!)
Work/school/activities that fulfill and challenge me
The internet (sad, but true!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
everything! I can't say that one thing dominates. But planning the next adventure, whether outdoors, in the kitchen, or elsewhere ranks at the top.
On a typical Friday night I am
Grabbing dinner/drinks with friends or inviting them over for a get together.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I finally saw The Big Lebowski about a year ago and...eh. There, I said it. Maybe it's one of those movies you need to see more than once.
