My self-summary
I have relocated to San Francisco from Boston about two years ago for my job, which I love! I am a Software Engineer and I can't imagine being anything else.

I am very outdoorsy. I love going on long walks around the city and discovering its hidden treasures. These walks are usually accompanied by iced lattes or cappuccinos --- needless to say, I am a big fan of both. Hiking with friends is another favorite pastime. Or swimming. I go to a local swimming pool quite frequently.

I enjoy reading and in fact I read every day on my Kindle. I equally enjoy fiction, as well as non-fiction and I tend to vary what I read. I am also subscribed to several magazines, such as National Geographic, to name one.

I love to travel. I've lived in many places throughout the years. During the Summer of 2010 I was in Zurich, doing an internship. I've lived in Boston, New York, Knoxville, to just name a few. I really wanna travel to every continent, so far I've only been to 3.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a Software Engineer. I am somewhat not enjoying the daily commute to work, but hey it's California!
I’m really good at
Baking! I find it very relaxing and fun and at the end of the day, you end up with something delicious to eat. Baking is mostly about technique, such as using a pastry bag or a candy thermometer. I love learning a new technique or how to use a new device.

Building Lego sets! I have a growing collection of Lego houses, a VM camper, a Sopwith Camel plane and I am very excited about the Mini that's coming out in about a month!

Needlepointing... I just finished a 14x12 inch canvas. I find this to be a very relaxing hobby. I usually watch documentaries while I'm needlepointing. WWII documentaries are among my favorite.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my dimples and/or my glasses!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books... "Life after Life", "The Help", "Great Expectations", "Love in the Time Of Cholera", "The Devil in the White City", "Bomb", "The Pianist", "Middlesex", "The Marriage Plot" -- I am huge fan of Jeffrey Eugenides, "The Bad Girl", "One Day"...

Movies... "Great Expectiations" --- the one with Ethan Hawke & Gwyneth Palthrow, "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo", "Ender's Game", "Gravity", "Blue Jasmine", "Match Point", "Enigma", "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" --- a must see, especially if you have Greek friends and many many more!

Shows... "How I Met Your Mother", "New Girl", "Sex and the City", "Parenthood", "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "Orange is the New Black", "Scandal", "Game of Thrones", ...

Music... Van Morrison, Cyndi Lauper, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, U2, The Police, REM, Green Day, Fleetwood Mac, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Johnny Cash, Meat Loaf, P!nk, Roxette, Texas, Adele, Justin Timberlake, Cat Stevens, Bob Seger, to name a few.

Food... since I've mentioned baking, my favorite desserts involve vanilla custard and chocolate ganache. This includes desserts such as Boston cream pie, eclairs and some variety of cream puffs. I also love anything that has whipped cream. I eat most things, as long as the food is well prepared.
Six things I could never do without

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Needless to say, my job. I know it sounds boring, but it's true.
On a typical Friday night I am
It depends... I equally enjoy going out for dinner, or just staying home and cooking something delicious. Or watching a movie. Or hanging out with friends. The usual stuff.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I can't ride a bicycle... my mother was afraid I'd break a bone or two...
