My self-summary
Self Summary? This is a bit out of my comfort zone but I guess this whole process is.
I am a good person, hard worker, dedicated to my profession but trying to ween myself off of it a little. I love to travel and the last couple years have seen me all over the globe. My family in Indiana mean the world to me and I need to see them more often than I do.

I have been involved in numerous charitable programs over the years but my life the last couple have kept me from getting to involved, this is something that I will be fixing soon, my soul needs it.

I love camping, even Glamping but I don't do either enough. I love to get away for the weekend, the San Juans are always on my list, I try to get to Orcas a couple times a year.

This will be my 22nd year living in Seattle, I only intended on staying 6 months :) I have lived in North Carolina, Vermont, NYC, Boston, South Florida & Chicago before moving here. I have stayed because of the people mostly, that and I have had all my career success while here. I am pretty sure I won't be moving anytime soon.
What I’m doing with my life
searching for balance, specifically between work and life.
trying to keep my friends close and my family closer
I’m really good at
mashed potatoes, air drums, kissing, mincing shallots & garlic, drinking wine & bourbon, but never together. I'm also very good at listening and arguing, sometimes just for the sake of arguing, maybe that's called debating?
The first things people usually notice about me
confidence, easy smile, makes eye contact
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I tend to read more than anything, I am a voracious reader of news for some reason, I love being informed on what is happening around the country and world. I also stay pretty close to my occupation when reading, at least lately. Some favorite Books are
The Jungle - Upton Sinclair
In Defense of Food: An Eater’s Manifesto - Michael Pollan
The Omnivore’s Dilemma: - Michael Pollan
The Botany of Desire: - Michael Pollan
( I have leaned towards the food activism side in the last couple years )
When I fly I like trashy celeb filled rags with way more information about the lives of stars that I ever cared about. I'm seriously thinking about a kindle for traveling, it just seems like the right thing to do.

I love seeing new release movies with huge openings, I am often let down but I think it harps back to being a kid and not being able to wait till saturday when my friends and I would go to the movies and cause trouble.
Six things I could never do without
ice cream
I spend a lot of time thinking about
stuff, my freaking head is full of stuff, I'm an avid reader, don't own TV, haven't for a very long time. holding, touching & squeezing
On a typical Friday night I am
trying somewhere new, drinks and dinner with friends
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I will not participate in the current Pokémon craze.
