My self-summary
Let's see... how can I make this interesting without just making it a list... nope, can't think of anything so here it goes.

I am originally from Canada. Born and raised near Toronto for the first 27 odd years of my life. I moved to the Bay Area for work. I've been working a lot for the past couple of years and figure it's time to enjoy life a bit more.
I consider myself pretty knowledgeable in a bunch of different topics like current events, politics, and hot-button issues.
I don't take anything too seriously but I like to have intelligent conversations with people with generous helpings of jokes and sarcasm so it's not just a boring conversation.
I'm fairly outgoing and will definitely register an opinion on most things.
What else is there to say?
What I’m doing with my life
I work most of the time. My next big goal is to be financially independent by the time I'm 35 so I can do whatever I want (even if that is what I'm doing now!). What I don't want to do is work so hard I miss out on having fun in the mean-time.
I’m really good at
- things to do with technology
- Poker (I'll often go to Vegas for a weekend just to play!)
- Chess
- Some video games
- arguing/debating
- knowledge of current events
- trivia
- drinking
The first things people usually notice about me
I may look like an Indian but I'm a Canadian! I don't have many ties to my ancestors home country.
I'm blunt and honest - most of my friends would say I'm too much of both.
I don't spend time worrying about things I can't impact.
I'm not traditional. I don't respect things because they were handed down or people because of their titles, etc.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
In no particular order some of my favorites:
Non-Fiction
- Guns, Germs and Steel
- The Intelligent Investor
- The Secrets of Consulting
- A Brief History of Time

Fiction - I don't read very much fiction
- The Forever War
- The Lord of the Rings

Movies/TV:
- The Usual Suspects
- Terminator 2: Judgement Day
- The West Wing
- Star Trek: The Next Generation
- Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
- The Godfather
- Memento
- Game of Thrones
- Seinfeld
- True Lies
- Pulp Fiction
- Reservoir Dogs

I'm sure I'm missing lots of stuff in the above lists...

Food wise there is also a lot but the absolute favorites are:
Steak (from Mortons or S&W)
Lasagna (Wolfgang Puck's)
Butter Chicken (from lots of places)

Music - all types. I mostly listen in the shower and have a pretty good Pandora station now.
The six things I could never do without
- food
- air
- water
- shelter
- people
- first world infrastructure

Well... I totally sucked the fun out of this.
On a typical Friday night I am
Recovering from the work week... but I want to change that.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Michael Jackson has some of the best music ever.
The Harry Potter movies were amazing!
You should message me if
- you actually don't take things too seriously, especially first date meet-ups (I've met so many folks who say that in their profile and are so serious!)
- you want to meet and not just send messages
- I've messaged you (the best reason :P)
