My self-summary
I just re-read my self-summary and boy it makes me sound like a complete nutbag. My co-workers think I'm snarky, while their spouses think I'm nice. It's because I'm a happy drunk.

Previously my first paragraph complained about OKC only matching me up only with "girls who like girls" but at some point OKC liked messing with people just to see how they react. I think it was someone's PhD thesis.

The rest of it was me trying to be funny, and how I am a bit picky about spelling and proper verbs tenses but one of my three undergraduate degrees is in English though reading Romantic-era poetry would get you thinking about hanging an albatross around your neck before you thouth about spelling.

I also am not averse to the outdoors but I avoid camping because I was a Boy Scout in Portland and every month during the school year we'd go on an overnight hike. If you know Portland, you'll know most of the school year it's raining and carrying around that much wet canvas ( remember this was the late 70's) is not something you should make kids do.
What I’m doing with my life
Getting up, going to work, coming home, going to the gym, coming home again. I had to quit Judo because I was bad at it and I'm back subverting a Crossfit gym. Using lighter weights and taking twice as long as everyone else isn't in the spirit of Crossfit, but the people at my gym are still supportive.

Watching some of the fluff I've chosen to record on my DVR. Reading the books I've chosen to collect on my Kindle. I do like real books but they accumulate and take up space and most of the books I read for fun aren't really worth stockpiling.
I’m really good at
Getting up, going to work, going to the gym (though not so much lately), coming home. Tech support, if my friends and sister calling from all over the country are any indication. Working on the house if total time is any indication, but the skilled eye will see that all the time isn't making me any better at it.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile? I've been told I have nice legs, too. It's been a while, though.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like reading mysteries and I think my favorite book is The Risk Pool by Richard Russo. I've also read The Shipping News a bunch of times.

In movies I mostly like comedies and the kind where things cartoonishly blow up (I am a guy after all). I think there's enough suffering in the world without watching it on screen.

My iPod sounds like a gay disco half the time and I was learning how to play the banjo and fiddle so my musical tastes are suspect. I also like Zydeco and bluegrass but don't like country. It doesn't have to make sense.

I'm beginning to find that garlic doesn't like me too much, though I like it a lot. Kind of reminds me of the girls I liked as I was growing up. I like Japanese food, which is good since I eat a lot of it and most of my lunches are Mexican food. And I have an unhealthy love for cheeseburgers.
The six things I could never do without
Earth, Wind, Fire. Counting. Coffee. Pork. My Mac. A sense of humor.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Pulled pork or brisket barbecue. Omelettes. Cheeseburgers. Assorted electronic geekery. Currently thinking about continuing with house renovations.
On a typical Friday night I am
Recovering from the work week watching TV shows on my DVR.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I think I'm shrinking though I'm not lying about my height.
You should message me if
it isn't the voices in your head telling you to message me.
