My self-summary
Hugs and chocolate are the two things I love most in the world!

I also love to dance and sing (mostly loud and out of tune, but isn't that the best way??). Ballet, salsa, I'll dance to anything and everything.

Music is a huge part of my life - I've usually got my iPod blaring with all sorts of music - everything from ballet scores to 80s glam rock to pop to show tunes.

I love theatre, ballet, concerts and movies, but I also love a night in front of the telly. I read like it's going out of fashion. I love getting dressed up and going to a posh restaurant for dinner, but just as much I love sitting around in my trackie just chatting.

I'm looking for someone to hang out and do stuff with - do you like to do stuff?
What I’m doing with my life
I work for myself, with my finger in a number of pies! I take in admin work to pay the bills, but I'm steadily making a career out of my love of making people cry - I'm a marriage celebrant :)
I’m really good at
Sleeping, eating food other people have cooked (I'm not great in the kitchen, although I'm learning), talking (and listening!), choosing the right song for the moment (in fact I'm really, really good at this), pub trivia (I'm the pop culture queen), hosting events
The first things people usually notice about me
I have a huge, warm smile that people often comment on. I love to laugh and enjoy life with those around me
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - anything and everything. Especially crime (true or fiction), biographies of performing artists, anything about performing arts history (particularly ballet). Favourite book ever is "If on a winter's night a traveller" by Italo Calvino - ask me about it. My Kindle is one of my most treasured possessions and I'm rarely without it.

Movies - I don't do horror or zombie movies, but I'll watch almost anything else. I love musicals (Rent, West Side Story, Moulin Rouge) and thrillers. I've recently rediscovered my love of The Devil's Advocate, brilliant film. Lots of others, can't think of them all :)

Shows - three favourite shows are Rent, West Side Story, and Jesus Christ Superstar. I can't separate them and choose a favourite, they're all at the top of my list. My recent trip to New York has added some new favourites: Once, Matilda, and The Book of Mormon. I love theatre, it's my thing (in New York, I saw 14 shows in 18 nights). I'm always looking out for the next big show, and I go to the theatre as often as possible.

UPDATE: I've realised through reading many profiles that to most people, the word "shows" refers to TV. I think it tells you something about me that I assumed it meant theatre, but I do love my TV as well. Medical dramas, cop shows, I love them all. Netflix is pretty much the best thing to happen to television ever, but binge watching series does mean you have to wait longer til the next season comes out!! We are in a golden age of television right now, and there's just not enough time to watch it all

Music - I love music, particularly pop, but I have very eclectic tastes and can be found listening to anything from a ballet score to Christina Aguilera to Pink Floyd. I'm going through a classical phase at the moment, so my most-played iPod playlist includes pieces such as Danse Macabre, the Adagio from Spartacus, Prokofiev's balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet, Spiegel im Spiegel, and Craig Armstrong's film scores.

Food - Italian is my favourite cuisine. I love pizza and pasta. I also love Mexican food, but not too spicy.
Six things I could never do without
Music, theatre, chocolate, my work, affection, something to read
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What show I'm going to see next.
Whether what I see as pink is the same as what you see as pink, or whether what you see as pink is actually what i see as green... yeah, that one crops up every now and again and it freaks me out!
On a typical Friday night I am
Having pizza for dinner, and watching Netflix! I'd love to find someone to do something more interesting with. I've also recently rediscovered my love of dancing the night away to a great cover band
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Well that's a bit hard. I kissed a girl once, does that count?
You should message me if
you're looking for someone to love, you know a great coverband, or you have chocolate to share!
