My self-summary
Throwing highly overrated humility aside, I consider myself quite a stallion. This multifaceted soldier of luv comes equipped with an independent streak, a curiosity about the world, empathy, optimism, manners and a smarty pants (pantalones inteligente for our Spanish viewers) outlook.

I'm dependable (boring) and a good listener (equally as boring) and I'm always there to help you finish off your drink. I've lived in Europe, Australia and like everyone else here, have visited many countries around the blue marble. Yay. I continually engage both sides of my brain. Some people talk about doing things, I tend to actually do them (without sounding like a complete and total wanker).

I prefer engaging in absolutely silly conversations over watching TV, but bad reality shows make me frisky. I choose to play sports instead of watching them. And I prefer to enjoy a beer with friends, unless I'm alone, in which case I'll make myself a dainty cosmo before going to sewing class where I talk about my feelings with the elderly.

I stay informed of what's going on around the world religiously and embrace my inner nerd constantly. I play well with others. I ask questions. I listen as much as I speak. I sort columns in Excel like a boss.

If you're looking for someone with an "edge" or want the bad buoy type, then look no further than your local prison or pier. Bad boy I am not. I have however been known to not indent at the beginning of paragraphs.

What else? Your parents and friends will like me. Kids adore me! I have fresh breath. I snuggle. My job entails bringing order to chaos to teams around the globe. I heart it immensely. Unless I'm really thirsty, I'm a glass half full kinda guy.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm always working on some nerd project, fixing something in my condo or picking up a new hobby. I aim to be a participant and not a spectator and am continually seeking new life experiences. I'm driven by new experiences. It would be nice to find someone to join me.

I just put seven months of my life into training for my first marathon. That was fun and now I'm addicted to running. Last year I took a 200 mile hike across the UK. I just got back into snowboarding and yoga. I often spend weekends taking photos and use it as my outlet for the years I studied design. I'm considering my 6th visit to Burning Man.
I’m really good at
staying calm when everyone else is stressed. So if you and I are on a plane and we crash in the middle of a desert, stick with me and I'll get the two of us out alive.

I'm also really, really, really good at remembering people's stories. I'll forget their name, but I always recall their stories even after many years.
The first things people usually notice about me
In tight jeans and a sweater wrapped over my shoulders, I make great Macy's catalog eye candy.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I don't watch a lot of TV or see that many movies. Feel free to deduct 10 or more points from my hotness factor. So if you're a big celebrity on this site, I might not know you so we could totally date.

Favorite books:
- Into the Wild - Mr Supertramp inspired me
- Fahrenheit 451 - I always loved a part near the end of the book where all of the citizens are instructed by their television sets to open their doors on a count of three to see if the main character is running by.
- The Histories - I'm a huge history nerd and Herodotus tells some amazing little anecdotal stories from his travels in 400BC
- Siddhartha - It's all about life's journey baby!

I'm currently listening to M83, The Beatles and lots of hip hop, ambient and electronic stuff. My interest in music is all over the place and like art, music is all very relative. You like what you like.

I'm probably the only person on the planet who adores black licorice. I don't care if you're 99.9% enemy, if you like black licorice then we're made for each other!
Six things I could never do without
• Creativity
• Thumb wrassling
• Gravity (This keeps me down to Earth)
• New experiences
• Down time
• Gummi bears
I spend a lot of time thinking about
creative projects I want to work on but never seem to have the time for. I've kept a daily journal for over 20 years and I'm always wondering what I'll eventually do with it. It's a life long project nonetheless.
On a typical Friday night I am
doing something or nothing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
After a road trip I have this fascination with looking at the grill of my car to see which strange bugs I may have hit.
You should message me if
you enjoy good conversation, witty banter and are seeking something different. You want a polymath of your very own.
