Alright, here is the meat, and potatoes of it all, Ok Cupiders (if that's even the appropriate term). Describing myself is not an easy thing to do because I come off as different to everyone I encounter, don't we all? As a person, I would describe myself as larger than life! I am intelligent, extremely playful as I am always looking to amuse myself, and I am pretty funny with a dry sense of humor. I openly admit that it can be a bit of a challenge for people who don't know me to differentiate between me being serious and my sarcasm because of the aforementioned dry sense of humor thing but most people figure it out quickly after conversing with me for a bit. If I could think of one downfall to my personality, I tend to be a little shy as it pertains to making the initial approach to contact someone; I can't really explain why but I have always been a bit apprehensive about initial overtures and/or encounters. However, after a few minutes, I am fine, and It's like I have known you since the beginning of time.
I am a hardcore foodie! I love going out to eat with my friends and trying out new restaurants, cuisines, and I am all about experiences. I love all types of food; Spanish, Jamaican, West Indian, East Indian, Chinese, Japanese, French, Middle Eastern, etc. I cannot think of anything I love more than food. Maybe music though, I am a huge music head, and my musical tastes range from contemporary to very out there. I am constantly listening to different genres of music including Salsa, Reggeaton, Soca, EDM, Kran, Indian, and anything else you can possible think of. I can kind of tolerate today's music but modern hip hop and R&B is trash so I tend to stick to the classics through 2000 eras. No Hot 97 or Z100 playing on my Amazon Echo for me. I love putting people on to new food, music, and places, so let's discover new things together :)
Love; love and friendships are one and the same to me because in order to love someone they should be your best friend. However, dating and love almost always becomes more complicated than it should be because if you subscribe to the mainstream way of doing these things, in order to find your new best friend you have to go through ridiculous hurdles, rituals, and society's sense of dating etiquette that in my opinion has nothing to do with love which should be something that just happens naturally; society through TV, movie, the radio, daytime talk shows, magazines or whatever platform I forgot to include has mentally pre-conditioned us to subscribing to a certain belief of how things should be and following a script of acting a certain way (the representative), doing certain things, calling someone within a certain amount of time yet at the same time not calling too quickly, not saying certain things, etc (rolls eyes) I don't like scripts and I do not like to conform to the "normal" standard of things as defined by society or anyone else that is not me. I am all about throwing the norm out the window and being adventurous, in the moment, unpredictable, and just having fun... this is life, let's live!
Si usted puede lear esta linea entonces lo unico que me gustaria decir es que de verdad eres chevere ;-)
In closing, I am giving okcupid.com a shot more out of curiosity than anything else. I've heard good things, I've heard other things, but I want to be able to say my own someTHING about the site, so here I am to experience it for myself. Let's begin :-)
Personally, I am just working on building and bringing up a better me. Working on my faith, working on my body, and working on myself, which is coming along quite nicely if I do say so myself :-)
I have a wide variety of movie interests ranging from the aforementioned sci fi to comedy to romantic movies and beyond. My favorite movie at the moment is Definitely, Maybe with Ryan Reynolds and Isla Fisher. However, my all time favorite movies are The Count of Monte Cristo (starring Jim Cavaziel and Guy Pearce), Thirteen Days (JFK/Cuban Missle Crisis bio-drama starring Kevin Costner), and Independence Day (Will Smith, Jeff Goldblum, space ships, big booms, terrible storyline, cheesy dialogue, and patriotic emotionism... what else do you need?).
I love all forms of music and do not have a favorite. I love Salsa as I am Puerto Rican, but I also love EDM, Soca, Alternative, Old school Hip Hop, and R&B.
Spanish food is my absolute favorite, but I love Indian, and Chinese cuisine :-)
