My self-summary
Pretty laid back and easy going, silence is not a lack of interest on my part, I am just quiet at first.

Avid movie fan and generally good at trivia. (Most of my friends won't play those types of games with me anymore)

I have a degree in engineering but ended up in a different industry. Life takes you in strange directions sometimes.

Still working on expanding my cooking skills.

Frequent reader and typically have 2 or 3 books traveling with me.

I like craft beers and taking short vacations around the state. I am looking for someone a bit nerdy (about comic books, science fiction, history...take your pick) and who enjoys an active lifestyle.

Talk nerdy to me.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to find that work/life balance. Still spending time on my house.

Doing something physical every day, weights, cardio or yoga.
I’m really good at
Setting out to make an omelet and ending up with scrambled eggs.

Helping others improve weightlifting, the last person I helped is now on his way to being a competitive powerlifter.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
-Books: I love science fiction (and count graphic novels here) Old Man's War, Ringworld, Ms. Marvel, Watchmen, Preacher

-Movies: Mad Max:Fury Road, Goon, The Lego Movie, In Bruges, Tucker and Dale vs Evil, Deadpool

-Shows: Star Trek, Rick and Morty, Cowboy Bebop, Daredevil, Archer, Top Gear (UK)

-Music: I have probably 65 Pandora stations so Hank Williams may follow up King Diamond

-Food: I love Mediterranean, Thai, plus I am always working on expanding my own cooking skills.
Six things I could never do without
Well, I might be able to come up with 6 but I do not know if I could put them in order.
- Spending time at the gym (a great outlet)
- Learning new things (including useless knowledge, did you know the national animal of Scotland is the Unicorn?)
- Free time to unwind
- Music (It feels strange to me being in a car without the radio on)
- Would it be weird to include pop-tarts?
- Good food (I am pretty much always willing to try something new)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future! When is all that cool sci-fi stuff going to happen? I want to see space travel, cities on the moon, jetpacks and cell phone battery that will last a whole day!
On a typical Friday night I am
The uncool answer would be working. But if I am not there is a good chance I am at a friend's house or out to the movies.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
If Neil Diamond comes on the radio when I am driving I will turn it up and rock out... I think I have said too much already...
You should message me if
-You enjoy a good conversation and have a sense of humor
-You have any real interest in comic books, movies, video games or other similar hobbies
-I hate to put a negative here, but if you have kids I am not interested
