My self-summary
Heya, I'm Graham. I'm easygoing and some inscrutable combination of nerdy and dorky.

I'm into bad jokes, basketball, politics, gaming, and more.

I'm unfortunately not Bill Nye the Science Guy.
What I’m doing with my life
Slinging beer & whiskey as your friendly neighborhood bartender by day, fighting crime by night. Except the bartending thing is actually mostly at night, which really cuts into the whole primetime crimefighting thing.
I’m really good at
-Random trivia
-Witty banter
-Board games (dare you to prove me wrong!)
The first things people usually notice about me
Clearly, my acerbic wit and dashing good looks. (Also, humility)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I really love science/speculative fiction. Anathem by Neal Stephenson is amazing (his other stuff is great, too). Short stories/anthologies are rad, Asimov and all that jazz. It's not strictly speaking a book but I just finished the serial Worm and it was amazing. Comics are cool too.

The holy trinity of all-time greats would have to be The Wire, The West Wing, and Breaking Bad.

Other good stuff... Archer, Futurama, Better Call Saul, Community, Game of Thrones, Sherlock, House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, Fargo, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., True Detective, Parks & Rec.

Pretty much anything... comedies, serious dramatic films, action blockbusters, short films, foreign films, you name it. Some favorites: Memento, Jurassic Park, Batman/Returns/Begins/Dark Knight, Children of Men, Groundhog Day, Star Wars, Office Space, The Princess Bride, Back to the Future, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along-Blog, Indiana Jones, 007, Dr. Strangelove... and lots more. Usually not a Disney fan but Frozen was freaking sweet.

I'm definitely pro-food. Italian and Mexican are my two faves, I guess... meat & potatoes is up there too.

Classic rock, mostly. To be honest though I'm usually tuned in to KPBS/NPR.
The six things I could never do without
•Six-item lists
•Self-referential metahumor
•Six-item lists including six-item lists, metahumor, and self-referential metahumor
•Items clearly added to lists solely so that they reach some arbitrary but preset length
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The unfathomable beauty and complexity of the universe, and the small, vulnerable niche humankind has carved out for itself in what is ultimately a hard, cold, unforgiving place.

also Batman
On a typical Friday night I am
Enjoying how terrible I am at basketball, winning at Mario Kart, or catching a movie with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a dungeon master. The dice rolling kind, not the whips & chains kind (hey, whatever floats your boat, though).
You should message me if
-you find yourself enchanted by my witty remarks, dashing good looks, and/or roguish charm
-you're looking to have some fun and see if anything serious comes out of it
-you made it through the wall of films/TV shows I listed and like some of the same ones
-you're a supervillain and would like to be my nemesis (I'm not looking for an arch-nemesis quite yet, let's take things slow?)
-You're a Trailblazers fan who's also desperately praying that Aldridge sticks around this summer
-you think you can woo me via haiku
