My self-summary
I'm the type of person that rarely turns down an opportunity to seek out adventure (read: something stupid and/or dangerous). That might include anything from bungee jumping off a dam in Switzerland or going to India on a whim for a wedding.

I tend to focus on solving problems and trying new things rather than getting fixated on what’s holding me back.
What I’m doing with my life
My career in engineering and product development has recently led me to Taiwan and San Francisco after 6 years of designing smartphone hardware in Chicago.

I'm spending a good chunk of my time in Taipei, so I’m looking for people to go exploring with. Outdoor adventures, dinners, drinks, etc. I’m totally useless as far as Mandarin and Taiwanese go, but I’m preparing to start learning soon.
I’m really good at
Throwing parties, planning outings for large groups of people, trivia, playing computer games.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - A Song of Ice and Fire, Made to Stick, The Case for Mars, 1984, Devil in the White City, and whatever new business/tech book is the new hotness.

Movies - The Fifth Element, Kill Bill, Rocky

Music - Recently: Daft Punk, NIN, The Prodigy, Arcade Fire, Goldfish, Mumford and Sons, The Ting Tings, Florence + The Machine, M83

Food - I was born with a near immunity to spicy foods so I can consume any Thai, Mexican, and Indian designed for mortals. And while I've never checked, I'm sure I have elevated mercury levels from eating way too much sushi.
The six things I could never do without
A good pair of all-mountain skis, raw fish, smoked meats, an overpowered PC, my passport, and a fancy smartphone on an open platform.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where my next trip is going to take me and just how badass Moore's Law really is.
On a typical Friday night I am
Exploring my new cities of Taipei and San Francisco by seeing what kinds of trouble I can get into.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've been thinking about adding a semicolon or two to my profile.
