My self-summary
I'm a nerd and proud of it (DFTBA ya'll). I love to read and collect books. My collection now numbers upwards of 700. I've read 95% of them (this statistic is no longer true as I have taken to going on book buying binges. I'm so behind!) I tend to be shy when I first meet people. But once I am comfortable, I'm a little bit crazy. Also, I love to cook.
What I’m doing with my life
I work and read and walk and watch YouTube. I'd like to go to grad school in English. I actually miss school: it's the oddest thing.
I’m really good at
Reading. Writing. Laughing.
The first things people usually notice about me
I always have a book in my hand. People also notice my eyes. They have the tendency to change colors often. I usually just call them hazel.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'll read anything, and watch anything other than horror. I'm a bit too much of a chicken. Some of my favorite books: The Thief, The Last Knight, The Count of Monte Cristo, Fangirl, Eleanor and Park, Carry On (this list just keeps getting longer!). Some of my favorite movies: Star Trek, She's the Man, Twelfth Night, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. Some of my favorite TV shows: Psych, How I Met Your Mother, Sherlock, Supernatural (Recent edit: Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries is life, and I don't mind saying I'd be up for it if any of the main characters in this show were up for it). I listen to big band and jazz music. Recently, I've been into some more current popular music, which is a first for me. I love chocolate. I'm a nerdfighter and I love to listen to podcasts (my favorites are Radiolab, Pop Culture Happy Hour and Can I Pet Your Dog).
The six things I could never do without
My kindle (so many books in one), chapstick (hate chappy lips), sweatshirt (comfort), poofy pillow (comfort 2.0), computer (connection) and piano (entertainment).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
That is another good question. I don't usually pay attention to what I am thinking about. I suppose it is usually a mix between food, books and nothing.
On a typical Friday night I am
Playing games with friends. Or family. Or both. :) That or reading a good book. Or watching a good movie. But usually games.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I may or may not have a secret obsession with foreign soap operas. It's a problem.

Also, my biggest embarrassment is that okcupid lists me as sloppy. What gives?
You should message me if
You should message me if you just want a new friend. I like being friends with people.
I'm not looking for anything serious right now.
(As a side note: Not to intimidate you or anything, but I'm much more likely to respond if the basic rules of grammar are followed in your message. So yeah... that's all.)
