My self-summary
From norcal, went to Chicago for medical school and now have moved to socal for residency. Overall, I'm a really happy person. I am lucky to have the most wonderful family EVER - they are crazy, loud, and so generous. My family is full of headstrong women who know how to keep family across the world close in touch, for which I am extremely grateful. I really like to eat good food and wouldn't necessarily say I'm a foodie, but I will try places that have good reviews. Love going out and being adventurous, but also enjoy sitting and having good conversations to really get to know people. I don't think I'm very good at dating, but I am definitely someone you can take home to mom and dad!
What I’m doing with my life
Graduated medical school and am now a Family Medicine resident physician! Sometimes I wish I could be a professional dancer, a hair stylist, or professional photographer because I love channeling my creative side.
I’m really good at
Being fun and sarcastic, being available to help friends and family, taking pictures (if you don't like the camera, we may not get along), baking, eating, drawing, painting, keeping things clean, laughing at your jokes, smiling, and giving advice because I tend to be more logical about situations.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile. Then I usually get asked what type of Asian I am (Chinese).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I have a small stack of books that I am meaning to get through but with my limited free time I tend to go out and meet up with family/friends instead. Currently reading The Art of Hearing Heartbeats..and I do love the Harry Potter series.

Movies: Comedies, including romantic comedies. Animation movies can be heart-warming too. Action movies are also great! Not the biggest fan of horror movies, but sometimes I really want to know what happens so I'll watch. I have to admit that I've seen Pitch Perfect many times...

Shows: I honestly don't watch a lot of TV. I did recently get hooked on Once Upon A Time though, and I really appreciate Parenthood for its raw family drama. Family Matters, Full House, Boy Meets World, Saved by the Bell were awesome.

Music: Oldies, country, pop, classic rock, diva music (I have much respect for Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, and Mariah Carey pre-1995), classical (sometimes), and then soundtracks when I'm studying. I love dancing, so any music that can be danced to is good to me!

Food: Brunch is my favorite meal. My friends make fun of me and say I have an appetite of a man with my cravings of eggs, potatoes, bacon, and steak. My favorite type of food is Chinese, especially all the seafood dishes. I appreciate creative innovations (my younger sister is really good at this!) and will usually give everything a try at least once. I still don't like eggplant though - I eat some whenever it is in a dish just to see if my taste buds have changed and they still haven't! I'm a sucker for sweets, but I'm really trying to be more healthy. I wouldn't consider myself a hardcore foodie, but my taste buds are quite refined. If you can cook or can enjoy cooking with someone then that's a plus!
Six things I could never do without
Family, camera, good company, scenic outdoors, music, dancing.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I can improve as a person, what fun new things there are to do, how I can get others to have fun with me, what my life will be like in 5 years, and when I can go on vacation again.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually out, unless I'm working that evening/night. I enjoy going out with a bunch of friends and just being in their company. As much as I enjoy going out to bars and clubs, I appreciate people who can still have fun without consuming alcohol (mini golf, bowling, beach, game night, potlucks, movies in the park, street fairs, outdoor concerts, etc.).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Sometimes I get a little OCD about cleanliness. Not the crazy wipe things down ten times and then check again to see if it's clean type of OCD, but more like there shouldn't be crumbs or grease stains in the kitchen and the bathroom should not have splashes of whatever anywhere. It's gross if you don't wash your hands with soap after you use the bathroom!
You should message me if
Almost everyone you know would say you are a good person and are someone who can be fun, honest, down to earth, true to yourself, and loyal to those you hold close. I'm looking for something more serious since I don't exactly have a ton of time to go out and date.

Don't message me if you just want to hook up, have intentions of pursuing that pretty quickly after meeting someone, or have "casual sex" listed in your profile as something you are looking for. I am not and will never be interested.
