My self-summary
I'm still working on this one, but OK Cupid won't let me write just that. So I'm also writing this and this.

I am interesting, interested, and interest-free
What I’m doing with my life
After finishing a degree in social sciences that I believed would lead me to a wonderful career in dole bludging, I'm actually working as a policy researcher (evaluation consultant). I get to fly around interviewing people... and they pay me.

Apart from that, I watch movies, I cook schnitzel, I go to see the odd play and I listen to the odd album. Preferably the odd ones.

Lately I've been obsessed with racquet sports. I play badminton and tennis and am looking for a squash partner.
I’m really good at
Making other people think I'm good at things. It's a legitimate skill.

Definitely not tennis.
The first things people usually notice about me
My inner beauty.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I rarely read fiction, although I like to have a flip through The Daily Telegraph while waiting for my coffee.
I love historical, political and cultural non-fiction.
Does reading blogs about American Politics count?

I love a wide array of music - from Simon and Garfunkel to Amon Tobin. Tom Waits and the Beatles feature heavily. More than anything, I love discovering awesome new music. Also, Leonard Cohen's voice makes my knees go weak.

My favourite films are also quite varied - From Magnolia and Eternal Sunshine of a spotless mind to The Princess bride and Leon - the professional. Anything by the Coen Brothers and anything by P.T. Anderson.

I also have a soft spot for horrible films, especially when they take themselves seriously. Unintentional hilarity is some of the best hilarity available. I seriously recommend The Room.

Six things I could never do without
People, preferably interesting ones.
Knowledge of what's happening in the world.
Music, and lots of it.
A city around me.
SBS world news - especially Lee Lin Chin.
My arms, I kind of like them.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The practicality of impractical things. Politics, music, pop culture and Nutella.

Who I can get to play squash with me.
On a typical Friday night I am
Anywhere between partying like it's 1999 and staying in with a season of Dexter or Seinfeld.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I think German accents are hot.
And I'm Jewish.
You should message me if
You are interested and interesting.

You want to play squash with me.

Extra points if you can finish the line: "No more rhyming now, I mean it!"
