My self-summary
Regular guy with uncommon taste in literature looking for someone to recommend them books and share Proustian moments with. Or we could just get pizza.

Literature and photography are the priorities in life. Addicted to ice cream.

My politics can be summed up by the phrase "Nothing's too good for the working class".

Sometimes I think of this site as coolpeoplewhodon'tlivenearyou.com.
What I’m doing with my life
School. Very uncertain about a career path but focused on getting good grades. I'm trying to better myself mentally and physically.
I’m really good at
Thinking of borderline offensive jokes and agonizing over whether to tell.

Mock book titles.

Being really impressed with someone until I see their tumblr.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like Mad Men too.

I watch TV shows very infrequently. I'm a Brad Neely fan. I'm never up on whatever people seem to like. I'm full of remembrance for 90's/early 2000s cartoons. Mission Hill. The Critic. Duckman. If I watch a show it's usually long after it's over and after much vetting of my interest. I never watch daytime TV.

Funniest movie: a tie between Dr. Strangelove and Big Trouble In Little China.

I love cinema but I don't really know anyone who shares my tastes so I just stay at home and watch Kubrick, Tarkovsky, Lars von Trier stuff and so on.

On one hand I like Industrial, Hardstyle, DnB and on the other 60's-70's Psychedelic, Proto-Punk, Joni Mitchell, Nigerian Funk. It's all over the place. My favorite 80's band is Alphaville. It changes with my mood and whatever my aesthetic fancy is at the time.
The six things I could never do without
Books
Wine
Sex
Ice Cream
Camera
My trusty bag.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I get preoccupied with ideas, they get a hold of me and change my mood, my taste and my opinions until I find the next one.

I'm taking online classes that have me thinking about the implications of machines teaching humans on a large scale, some of which are scary. i.e. Industrialized universities.
On a typical Friday night I am
Sleeping, to be honest. I'm pretty low on fuel by the end of the week. If I'm awake I'm scouring for music on Pandora, Soundcloud, YouTube etc.
You should message me if
Kierkegaard or Wittgenstein mean anything to you. If you feel displaced in an absurd world. If you like having mini adventures on a whim.
