My self-summary
General autodidact, and a fairly competitive one at that. Favorite motto is "anything worth doing is worth overdoing".

Current main interests are software engineering (which also happens to be my job), poker, juggling, and finance. Interests are roughly listed in order of competence :)

Interests in past lives include: physics, drawing, Scrabble, technical blogging, and League of Legends / DotA.

I'm originally from Singapore, so I did two years in the army before going to college. It was mostly a mind-numbing experience, but it turns out that hanging around drill sergeants all day gives one plenty of ideas when being a dom.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to get better at my aforementioned interests.
I’m really good at
Making terribly amazing (amazingly terrible?) puns.
The first things people usually notice about me
Tall, thin, fair-skinned. And that I might pass off as a girl if I dressed appropriately (not that I've tried)

I've also been likened to an anime character.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The Unbearable Lightness of Being is one of my all-time favorites. I've reread it multiple times over the years, and each time I understand it a little more.

Other good books include The Diamond Age (by Neal Stephenson), Patton (biography of the WW2 general), Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, Musicophilia (by Oliver Sacks). The Sandman series (by Neil Gaiman). Cloud Atlas (book beats the movie).

Shows: Game of Thrones, House of Cards. Power dynamics never cease to entertain.

Music: Stars, RHCP, The Killers, Panic! at the Disco, The Postal Service, Deathcab, The New Pornographers, Florence + the Machine. And Drake, of course. A surprising fraction of my favorite artists are Canadian.

Manga: Nana to Kaoru.

Anime: Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Movies: V for Vendetta, Dark Waters, The Matrix, Kick Ass, 500 Days of Summer, Scott Pilgrim vs The Rest of the World.
Food: I dislike most vegetables. (Exceptions: Arugula! And to some extent, celery and asparagus.) Asian food is generally awesome -- particularly Japanese, Korean, and Thai. Thai Basil Beef + Fried Egg on white rice is one of my favorites. Am also a big fan of salmon.
The six things I could never do without
1. My computer
2. The Internet
3. My juggling balls
4. Meh
5. Meh
6. Meh
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How systems work, or fail to work. Especially curious about the way power (or the illusion thereof) is projected.

This clip amuses me endlessly: http://youtu.be/FpL6Fwu0wkw?t=38s
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
1. Most of what I know was learnt off the Internet.
2. I'm not a big fan of drinking, not least because my nausea point is below my drunk point. OTOH I love blazing.
