Some part of my weekend is typically spent in Washington Square Park or along the Hudson engrossed in a book on consciousness, metaphysics, or spirituality that is grounded in the Vedas. Beyond this my interests also tend to be centered on the social sciences.
I also have an affinity for Rainer Maria Rilke and Michel de Montaigne.
Daily perusals include NYT, the Economist, WWD, and Lefsetz Letter, among others.
Challenge me. Stretch me. Thrill me. Move me. Seldom do I sit around and watch TV, but on those rare occasions, I make it count: Curb Your Enthusiasm, Arrested Development, Breaking Bad, Modern Family, Mad Men, Parks and Rec, and 30 Rock.

I am a vegetarian—but not the militant kind who will glare at you with disdain if burgers are your jam. My spiritual path has ushered in deeper compassion for all sentient beings and greater awareness of what I eat, where it comes from, how it is produced, and how it affects my constitution. You’re welcome to have your burger, but make mine veggie--with plenty of hot sauce.

I am not one to limit the possibility of who/what I might find here with a rigid definition of who/what I am looking for. A new friend, a date, a kindred spirit, a lover? A partner for life? Who knows? The fact of the matter is that we have to start somewhere...
