My self-summary
Oh, why hello there :)

Where to begin, where to begin..... well, when I was 11 I convinced my father to let me travel to Fiji by myself. I suppose that you could say that I am a traveler at heart who loves to keep a cozy nest.

I moved to Seattle quite recently and am quite delighted to be back in the PNW.

I love to be surrounded by a community that is passionate about life. I did my undergrad in anthropology & have two MAs, one in International Environmental Policy, one in Public Administration. I've lived and worked in many places in on both sides of the US as well as internationally, I've backpacked 40 days alone in Nepal, climbed many a volcano, worked as a guide & wilderness EMT, am a yoga teacher, polymath.

I love the ocean, surfing, snowboarding, yoga, awesome hats, laughing with my friends, live music, dancing, dancing, dancing, long walks in the rain, big cups of tea, being cozy, big fires, sickle moons, metaphysics, interesting conversations....did you know that bees can see ultraviolet? ;) I am a very curious person and love learning about most things. I am generally busy around the clock, but I value making time for worthwhile things and always love meeting new and interesting folk.
What I’m doing with my life
First and foremost, I am living it. The rollercoaster, the beauty, the depth and the insanity of it all....I love I live I love I live I love I live love.

I am starting a company here in seattle and also work with a consulting group, doing human experience design research. If you want to talk more about either of those things, might I suggest coffee?
I’m really good at
I'm a pretty good dancer and I make excellent hummus ;p

I enjoy the ancient arts of fermentation and multiplication of biotic communities in the kitchen.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books? that will be a long conversation, (some recent essentials: Changing Conversations: A Complexity Approach to Change, Murakami, The Four agreements. A Natural History of the Senses.

Movies: Dirty Dancing (and yes, you have to like this movie, too) Generally speaking, I am more into films made in the Spanish speaking world, so chances are, if it is in Spanish, I have a greater chance of liking it...

Music... I love amerigrass/folk/blues/bluegrass/thought provoking hip hop/booty bouncing rooty stomping dub wamp/FUNK/brassy new orleans shit. oh, and random rab/edm
The six things I could never do without
lavender
my feet
purple cabbage
yoga/dancing/live music
the ocean
sunsets
and, let's be honest, probably hats.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Impact oriented orgs/human centered design/innovative finance/conservation/human nature relationship/resource management/ relationship to place/what motivates human behavior, love.

The mysteries of existence. Optimizing time spent thinking, thinking less. The "whys." Tea. The book that I am reading. People. Plants. Food Systems. What I want from life/the future. What now feels like.
On a typical Friday night I am
At my favorite yoga class. then home to read/cook/movie/art project/sleep... or out to see music/hang with friends, depending on what I feel like...

Hanging out by the fire?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I just started taking cello lessons...so it might be a good ten years before I sound good, but I am excited :)
You should message me if
You are awesome, you like yourself, you like your life, you have a bookshelf, you want to have a cup of tea and if it goes well, head onto something fun...in the snow, on the coast, in the river, mountains, at the bouldering gym, or...?!

Please do not message me if you are only on here for hook ups or if you haven't taken the time to create your own profile, thanks 🙏
