My self-summary
Twenty-two year old chef and student curiously ambling my way through life, open and openminded to wherever it takes me and whomever I meet along the way. Lover of life, learning and family. I'm not afraid to get down and dirty or stumble and fall and make mistakes if it means that I am trying something new or going to a place I have never been. Writer, thinker, libertine; sybarite and aesthete. Life is a work of art and here's hoping that my canvas is splattered, ripped and covered with every color and texture in the world.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently a chef at a Thai restaurant that my family owns, a business which I help run and I'm very proud of it. Cooking is a great passion of mine; I strongly believe that no matter who you are or what views you have, a good meal is the unifying denominator that can bring us together. I am also a student and plan on studying anthropology. My goal is to eventually teach or work with a nonprofit as well as own my own restaurant. I see myself traveling, discovering, exploring; constantly learning and growing as a person. Trekking all over and having unforgettable life experiences. I've always been drawn to place full of culture and life: Thailand, Indonesia, India, France, Brazil, Morocco, Mozambique, the Czech Republic.... and hopefully someone special will be journeying right along side me. :-)
I’m really good at
Picking out interesting restaurants to eat at, talking for hours on end (some say that this is a major flaw) certain PS3 games, grammar and spelling, taking care of the people I care about, fidelity, Scrabble, geography, gardening, picking out movies, rocking this hair color, falling in love.

Writing: Read my ditties if you like -
The first things people usually notice about me
My piercings and tattoos, the random topics of conversation that I begin. I've also been told that I have rather pouty lips...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies: I'm a crazy voracious movie-goer; I usually end up at the theater with a friend or family. If you enjoyed five or more of my following list of favorite films, you should message me. Movies are meant to be shared, discussed and appreciated together :-D

Six things I could never do without
1. My family
2. My pets
3. My Lexus (I'm not showing off, I just love
that car so damn much...)
4. My cellphone
5. Two rings given to me by my dad (for sentimental reasons)
6. Lip balm (I keep a tube in my bedroom, the bathroom, the car, at work and on me at all times...)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Everything. The world, the future, the past. The big picture and the little details. Serendipity, superstitions and magical thinking. The disparity between the seemingly chaotic randomness of life and the subtle and oftentimes not-so-subtle coincidences that we call fate or destiny. The existence of and/or lack of a God/Gods. The boundless diversity and utter uniqueness of humanity and human culture. My family. I'm a bit of a pop culture and politics junkie as well. Love.
On a typical Friday night I am
At home, curled up with a good book or my iPad and/or my Netflix queue. Perhaps once in a great while I'll be having dinner with a friend or at the movies, but I'm quite content to be a homebody; kicking back at home with my loved ones.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I still sleep with a nightlight. (Ok, it's a touch lamp, but I still need it to be on...)
My private and personal life tends to crash and burn as my professional life blossoms.
I am content to use this site as basically a writing prompt idea generator until I get my life in order.
You should message me if
You are funny, charismatic, witty, romantic, and don't take youself or life itself too seriously.
