My self-summary
Berkeley politics, Brooklyn style, and New Orleans manners; tall, dark, and over-educated. By the way, have you heard the one about the vampire and the mime who walked in to a bar?

I run my own publishing/tech startup. People actually read what I write? That's so weird. There world is an amazing place when you get to wake up and do something you love every day.

After several years on the road, I found my way back to Brooklyn. It's good to be home.
What I’m doing with my life
Writing alternate endings.
I’m really good at
Listening to what people are saying, even if they don't hear it themselves. Telling stories. Breaking down arguments and positions into their constitutive bits. Getting into trouble. Proving a catalyst.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm 6'5". That's taller than you'd think.

Six things I could never do without
This question displeases me.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Dancing the night away (swing, tango). Market penetration. Author recruitment. Civil liberties.

Also: how it is that I've been on this site since a month after it opened (in 2004!), but ended up meeting my wife through a friend.
On a typical Friday night I am
Avoiding the slush pile.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
When I still was young and innocent, I accidentally spent the night in a brothel in Tangiers. I didn't understand why one girl kept talking to me and asking to come up to my room. Not until the next morning--when I noticed all the same girls from the night before still standing around the entrance--did I realize what was going on.
You should message me if
...you're interested in meeting me and my artistic, acrobatic, and queer partner, who's finally made a profile for herself: electric_sprite.
